Oh yeah, I forgot about that method. There's no need for it around here, but I knew some folks who used what they called Swedish torches a couple of severe winters when I lived up in the foothills.I'd end up hurting myself trying to cover them and would probably do them more harm than good.
It's okay, I'll start some fires under them. I already melted my fence earlier this year, so I have experience.
He better watch it, he get his pants all wet!
Sounds like fun. I use to play golf about 6 times a year, and I love it. I have played with it throughout my life, and when I got to old to be any good at it, I played computer golf all the time. It's 42 degrees now but it will 50 degrees when we tee off this morning. I'll be wearing shorts as usual but will need a light jacket. Up side is abundant sunshine, no shoveling today.
got any bourbon? - plenty of ice heh?12* F here, about an inch of snow on the ground and it's meant to continue through the night and most of tomorrow. We're expecting lows below zero (Fahrenheit) the next 2 nights and high temps in the single digits above zero. We seem to be missing out on any ice buildup which our neighbor states south of us are gonna be struck with.....ice is the worst.
I have groceries stocked up and plenty of firewood for my wood burning stove which currently has a nice little fire merrily burning away.
I'm not leaving home until the worst of this passes.
In eastern NC we usually have a week, maybe two of real cold weather. I keep clothes for that.Collder here but no snow. I should buy more warm clothes. In Florida we are not used to cold weather but somehow that is changing.
