Major storm coming our way

I'd end up hurting myself trying to cover them and would probably do them more harm than good.

It's okay, I'll start some fires under them. I already melted my fence earlier this year, so I have experience.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that method. There's no need for it around here, but I knew some folks who used what they called Swedish torches a couple of severe winters when I lived up in the foothills.

I'm past my tree climbing days, too. They wouldn't get more than a prayer from me.

If you are in the path of this storm, BE AWARE.
Coming down here!!!

It's 42 degrees now but it will 50 degrees when we tee off this morning. I'll be wearing shorts as usual but will need a light jacket. Up side is abundant sunshine, no shoveling today.
Sounds like fun. I use to play golf about 6 times a year, and I love it. I have played with it throughout my life, and when I got to old to be any good at it, I played computer golf all the time.

For fun I copied and pasted your post in an AI image creator. It came up with this. I thought it is beautiful, but look at the pin placement. In the sand trap!! :)

Collder here but no snow. I should buy more warm clothes. In Florida we are not used to cold weather but somehow that is changing.

Sitting in western Canada, we’ve had an exceptionally mild winter. No point me knocking on wood; it will change and it won’t be pretty.

12* F here, about an inch of snow on the ground and it's meant to continue through the night and most of tomorrow. We're expecting lows below zero (Fahrenheit) the next 2 nights and high temps in the single digits above zero. We seem to be missing out on any ice buildup which our neighbor states south of us are gonna be struck with.....ice is the worst.
I have groceries stocked up and plenty of firewood for my wood burning stove which currently has a nice little fire merrily burning away.
I'm not leaving home until the worst of this passes.

got any bourbon? - plenty of ice heh?

I'm about an hour west of Saint Louis, MO. Thus far zero snow flakes. But Kansas City is getting a lot. Has been drifting southerly so far.

whilst residing in old Hong Kong waiting for the major tyhoon was always good fun as long as you were snug indoors with plenty of bourbon; champagne and lemonade and the live- in amah cooking up a storm too!!

Looking at the radar, the really bad weather appears to arc just above my area. We are cold, but so far barely below freezing.

The swath of bad weather is above me. My brother is down here for a week, helping me catch up with some stuff. He is staying until Tuesday in hopes the swath of ice & snow has either moved out or melted.

My SIL said they had over a foot of snow Friday night. She had to get plowed out becaus my brother forgot to hook up their snow plow.

I am not expecting anything more than some rain and maybe a flash freeze, but it might be enough to make me cancel my chiropractor appt on Monday.

Cold here, too. I covered my Gardenia plant and looks like below or slightly above freezing in the next 12 days. I wonder if we are living in Iowa and do not know we are in Florida.
