Man told to cover/fence off boat in driveway. Paints a picture of boat on fence gate

This is another example of our new trend in what we want to see of our world. We will be more intrigued by what is false that is posing to be real. THAT will become more interesting than our previous preoccupation with wanting to see Real proof/pictures/stories that exposed lies. The end of empires like ours is flailing to keep afloat. We want to see the accident now, but we can only accept it as false...because of denialism.

The artist did a great job, but a big oh geez šŸ™„ to the whole incident. Duh gotta make a statement somehow. If you want to fight for your right to show off your boat, why bother putting up a fence? Just sayin'.

I'm a native Californian, and I can tell you that I could have all kinds of junk stored in my driveway here in Thailand, and nobody would give a rat's a**. And I must say, it should make any American feel uneasy when a city's officials can tell a private citizen that he can't leave his boat in his own driveway.

Have the authorities made any comments about
this painting?

They will probably need to raise a statute or what
ever, they call a new law about no boat pictures.

This is a strange situation for a town called Seaside,
I assume that it is by the sea and that there are lots
of boats in other drives!

Great business for the artist, though.

Trompe-l'œil.
I had to look it up. Nice.

I think the home-owner is asking for yet another headache, but he probably knew that.

The artist immediately got requests from other people in that neighborhood, but he doesn't want to be known for painting boats on fences. His dream is to be recognized for his works on canvas. In the interview, he sounded like he kind of regrets doing the fence....not the fame he envisioned for himself.
