More Than $40,000 Worth Of Eggs Have Been Stolen

In a refrigerated 53 foot trailer. If I was going to steal that many skids of eggs, I would steal a reffer unit to keep them in, while selling them off in generic packaging, with out a brand name on the packages. Another method would be to crack the eggs, and package them as liquid eggs, for the food industry, in 5 gallon pails. Impossible to trace egg yolks.

Yes, I think like a crook, that comes from over 20 years of investigating criminals as a P.I. Good and smart thieves plan ahead so they have a way to sell the stuff they steal. JIM.
A 53 foot trailer? Maybe they stole all the eggs AND a trailer. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that ā€˜THAT’ many eggs were successfully stolen. Could it have been an insurance scam? Were the eggs stolen in a trailer to begin with? That is more believable.

Yes, somehow all the hoo-hah about the price of eggs seems to have died down. This thread prompted a lot of jokes in February of this year, (10 months ago!) and then abruptly ended. Good indication of how reliable the social media news is,

But more believably, there really was a lot of talk about the sudden jump in the price of eggs. I never understood it. On my regular grocery trips, about once every 2 weeks, I never saw any real rise in the price of eggs, although several other items went up a lot. I never understood it. Did the price of eggs rise everywhere in the U.S. but here?

Now I think the whole thing was a hoax.
