Music of 1967 to feed the nostalgic mood

The summer of 1967, I was bumming around Europe for three months. Sandie Shaw was the hot-hot-hot sensation all over the place. "Puppet on a String" was blaring from every radio. I'm not sure she ever was that popular in the US.

She had one song over here that I heard on the radio, Girl Don't Come. Cilla Black never made it over here either. Dusty & Petula made it big over here though.

Back at that time, I was dividing my album purchases between Rock and Jazz.
My thinking back then was that the radio stations played the Rock hits and if I wanted to hear any Jazz,
I'd have to buy the album.

One of my favorites from that year because of the Trombone solos (was working hard to get mine to sound like that).

Peter, Paul and Mary were an American folk group formed in New York City in 1961 during the American folk music revival.
They held the number one spot on Billboard Magazine’s top 100 for seven weeks. They won five Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.
