I still have many of the albums on the list. Actually, a couple of boxes of albums from the 70s. My turntable jumped ship 30 years ago and I never replaced it. 
I have it here too.And, I'm pretty sure I still have it in my closet!

Agreed. From my perspective it started with the Beatles (and the following "British Invasion"). It went on pretty much into the early 70s when disco came along.Going back 60 years takes us to the mid sixties, for me the real peak of popular music.
Understandable. I know a woman in her 60s, raised in Detroit and never heard Motown music.I only recognize two, maybe three of those.We must have had very different preferences in music.
