Music that will be 50 years old this year

I still have many of the albums on the list. Actually, a couple of boxes of albums from the 70s. My turntable jumped ship 30 years ago and I never replaced it. :(

It was talk radio or country top 40 where I worked. My first child was born in 1975, and we were a devout Christian family, so I remember about 6 of those songs. Before that when I was a hippie, I only listened to psychedelic rock, and real groovy music, not top 40. I was so busy with family, work, and church stuff, I never had time to listen to the radio except at work. :)

I own two of those….on CD.
I think this was 1975….

Going back 60 years takes us to the mid sixties, for me the real peak of popular music.
Agreed. From my perspective it started with the Beatles (and the following "British Invasion"). It went on pretty much into the early 70s when disco came along.

I made a playlist of all my favourite Led Zep tracks that I blast out loud when I'm out on my bike. Just feels like the best music to listen to when cycling around.
