1st. need to recognize this thread is about Ronni's son & his difficulty while doing the job he went to L A for. No surprise to me that peaceful protest turned into a chance for bad actors to take advantage of the mass of people. Ronni's son should be congratulated for the job he is doing.

I understand the difference between legal immigration & illegal immigration.

I understand that seeking out & removing illegal immigrants is a priority that was a key feature of the last election.

I understand that it's not likely for ICE agents to seek out illegal immigrants in areas with a low population of illegal immigrants.

I understand that in instances where more than one illegal is present there is the potential & real possibility that an immigrant here legally will be detained.

I understand that illegal immigrants that are not criminals are not sent to prisons in their country of origin. And that a few people like Kilmar Abrego Garcia are special cases.

I understand that our economy is successful in part due to illegal immigrants doing jobs legal immigrants & native born don't want to do. Not a mystery to me why. What do any of you three think about why that is?

My preference is to do as is being done now. Reduce illegal immigration at the border. Send criminal illegals to prisons that accept them. Process those willing to self deport.

The exception to current policy would be when possible those caught up in a raid investigate their circumstances.

If they aren’t paying people to demonstrate then why does that come up when you search how to get paid for demonstrating.
Do I have to answer the ad and infiltrate the demonstration and get killed exposing it for what it is before all of you super intelligent people will believe anything?
All I’m saying is that some of these people out there are getting paid to carry signs and march in those protests.
How much they have to do to get paid I don’t know!
I started noticing that the same looking people were doing all of the demonstrating in Chicago and looked at who it said they represented on the signs and saw that most of the demonstrations in Chicago were supported by Socialist and Communist organizations.
IT AINT THAT HARD IF YOU WANT TO KNOW-YOU BASICALLY GOT TO OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE THAT THE SAME PEOPLE ARE PAYING FOR MOST OF THESES DEMONSTRATIONS.

Are you suggesting the estimated 4-6 million Americans who demonstrated at some 2100 events on No Kings Day were being paid? Or that the protestors in 20 international countries were being paid?

Gee... nobody offered me a dime. There were, however, numerous kind souls passing out free snacks and bottles of water...

My friends and family are demonstrating all over the country and none of us are being paid. It’s a great lie that people on the right like to pull out of their hat because they can’t imagine people being that unhappy with their government. That is really the only power that the average person has.

I also think that something the right is missing is that there are groups that are national like indivisible that helped to organize these protests. Really that’s the only way that large protests can happen is if someone is organizing them. Social media is also used to help in the organization.

No! I don’t think that everybody is getting paid.
How did you find out that there were going to be big demonstrations on those days?
You surely didn’t just up and say “I’m tired of the way things are going so I will protest tomorrow.”
No! Someone is spending a lot of money to organize these big protests.
So if you’re not paid individually there is still a lot of money spent to get you to march.

I think you pretty well nailed it!
Just because I say that some people are being paid to demonstrate or protest some people have to try to prove me wrong by saying they weren’t paid.
Maybe they feel that they are being used when they find out that the same powerful people are behind a lot of these demonstrations and that it really has nothing to do with a just cause as much as it has to do with creating dissension.

Can you imagine a world where protest is automatically demonized? What are people supposed to do then?

This is typical internet-thinking, where if a handful of people are bad actors, then everyone is cast as one, or a protest is completely invalidated and deserving of severe treatment from the authorities. All you have to do is plant the seed that some protestors are paid, and suddenly everyone who cares enough to get out there is suddenly tarnished.

Without protest women wouldn't be able to vote among many other examples. It's terrible how far society has fallen, imo.
 
I have also been protesting. I’m not getting paid. I am doing it because I felt helpless and hopeless sitting around doing nothing about a situation that is very troubling to me.
I found the protests in the same way that I found Senior Forums. I searched the internet.
There was a lot there. I found protests in my area and I signed up to attend.
The people who organized it were volunteers and they were looking for more volunteers.
After I attended the first protest, I was notified of all subsequent protests in my area. That’s how it works.

We all know what the protests are about. I protest with my words on FB along with what seems to be millions of others. Every time I see a human snatched off the street by masked thugs leaving children and family behind I feel sick to my stomach. Just one of the many things making people take to streets to protest.

How very wrong you are. People who are demonstrating know exactly and specifically why they're marching. The term "No Kings" is self-explanatory.

You should attend a protest and see for yourself what it’s all about. You might be pleasantly surprised!
 
Professional agitators can be paid to cause a disturbance so there’s a ‘reason’ for authorities to attend.

After big sporting events, there can be professional agitators who raise hell so others will too and then the looting can begin.
