Cheese. Sensitivity is relative. Only psychopaths are immune. All of the rest of us have relative levels of vulnerability to external stimuli, at different times, including words. I am a wordsmith, partly genetic, ( I am a poet), definitely affected by
background and education. Hugely empathetic, I can read most people very well. The way they sit, how they breathe, hold their hands, facial expression, eye contact or lack of it, tightness of lips, face etc. these non verbal cues are called tells. Once a
person speaks more info floods in. The point is ,an unscrupulous therapissed could pinpoint an individual's weak points, and slice and dice in short order. A clear abuse of power. That therapist would be responsible for the damage he/she caused the
other person. Who are we as human beings to decide the only accurate/valid measure of sensitivity is our personal one, and that anyone more vulnerable is a wimp, not deserving of our consideration? Even if we are 'tough' that does not absolve us of
human decency. I could destroy psyches easily, that would make me a monster. Human psyches are very fragile things, to be cherished, raised up where possible. Non professionals, all human beings bear a responsibility to remember that, unless we choose to live as hermits. Psych 101, healthy people do not hurt other human beings willingly, and blow it off.
