Name one good thing that happened to you this week

I had a really good week.. I had dental treatment that cost me very little...

.. and an old friend of the forum returned this week, so it was lovely to know she's ok...(y)

... and I got 2 Mothers day cards from my daughter and grandfurkids...

... and today I went for a walk in the beautiful sunshine and took these pictures..

The whole week was great, I attribute that to waking up everyday with the chance to enjoy whatever each day might bring. I've found that the simplest of things can bring pleasure. Simple like a warm afternoon that made it possible to pull some weeds that popped up after the rains we've had recently.

My sisters took me out for a birthday lunch this Thursday. I am not big on my birthday but one of my sisters is huge on birthdays so when she told the staff at the restaurant that we went to that it was my birthday I at first was not a happy camper but then I decided to let my sister have her fun and go along with it.

I spent the day yesterday helping out at my 7-year-old great-granddaughter's birthday party. A day full of little girls, ages 2 to 10 rampaging through the house and constantly screaming (why do little girls have to scream all.the.time?) reaffirms to me that all is well with the world. It was so fun just watching kids being kids. Fingernails were painted glittery colors, friendship bracelets were made, and lots and lots of sugar was consumed (which might have contributed largely to the screaming and rampaging....)

All four of my little 'uns were at the party and I thought how great life is that I get (hopefully) to watch them grow up and to be allowed to participate in their raising. I was a happy Meemaw.
 
My good thing happened today. I had bought a new Tracfone and for the first time ever was having a heck of a time to get it activated. Went to my local Walmart and they were useless in helping me. So, I ended up driving to the store in Brockport and the cool guy spent about 45 minutes fussing over it and he got it going for me. So, I have it going now. I did the good thing and went up to Customer Service to give him a well earned atta boy. As a former retail worker, I know that people are quick to complain...but not to give a good job report to management
 
I finally received a small sum of money which was left to me by a UK friend of many years who passed several months ago.
It is not much but just the thought and love of my friend cheered me after a not very good week and I have decided to treat myself to my very
favourite Chanel body lotion. Right now I am off for coffee and chocolate biscuit though I would love one of @Georgiagranny 's scones
