Name something positive you've enjoyed since isolation

Gardening. I've dabbled before, but Covid-19 motivated me to do more this year than I've ever attempted in the past. Just harvested kale leaves from the back porch planter for a smoothie.

Am also enjoying making masks. I've always been a hand crafter, not a machine sewer. Am beginning to enjoy using the sewing machine.

Funny, I was just thinking about this. Haven't had it in years and if you make it with fresh pineapple and natural sugar replacement its a pretty good dessert overall. Don't eat much sugar so the regular version might be way too sweet I think, and lose the cherries...lol.
I prefer to live on the edge with canned pineapple (no trip to the store so using from the pantry), actual white and brown sugar (gasp) and plenty of butter. No cake mix or fake chemical sweetners for me, thanks. And who leaves off the cherries??? Blasphemy. If you're going to have cake, have CAKE.

No flour. No cherries. No sugar. But I’ve got pineapple 🤔

This may sound odd, i'm not really really a social butterfly, so the staying home thing is not a chore. I'm just happy i'm remaining healthy, and happy to see our town really pulling together, and practising all the rules we're supposed to. Nice hearing your happenings, through this tough time. Looking forward to this nightmare ending, as all of you are as well. Happy to stay connected to my daughter and grandkids on the computer, it seems strange seeing that we're in the same town. Try to keep up the positivity. :)(y):).

I'm a very lucky man that I get to keep mine. Yay! :ROFLMAO:
It’s really funny cause she asked my son if they ever broke up could she still talk to me. 😃 But they won’t ever break up, I’ll won’t let him. They won’t marry as they are both older and like their space. But it works as it is.

That's hilarious that you won't let him. :ROFLMAO: As long as they're happy, it doesn't matter if they marry or not. I'd love to marry one day, but keeping each other company is what's most important to us. And we'll be doing that whether we marry or not.

Something positive - planted some seeds and watched them germinate and grow into sturdy little plants that will soon be producing lots of little cucumbers. Also potted a tuberose begonia tuber and it has begun to hatch, tiny bit of green showing.

Planting tiny seeds and watching them germinate, grow and produce is, to me, like watching little miracles happening.

Something positive for me ...... I have my refrigerator/freezer and pantry shelves all well stocked, as I don't plan to go to the grocery store until May .... and with all that food, I haven't gained any weight.... YAY!! ... I still walk outdoors a lot everyday

My second week in quarantine this Friday, love it.... Yes I do. Not even working hard at it
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 😇
Informed more city people heading up this way. Friend called and warned me it would be very busy up this way. Told me about a line up at the gas station in Bobcagion. Lots of boats being towed, canoes on the roof
Tomorrow I put up a chain gate.
:devilish:😇:devilish:

Don't care for chemical sweeteners either but quite honestly prefer natural sweeteners to sugar any day of the week.
Sugars are just too sweet and certainly not good for you. When we were in business - the diet and fitness biz, found many many low carb recipes that were wonderful. Also developed many products and knew they were good for you. What's not to love when they taste great and have no bad ramifications?

I'm here with my husband in another State....Our kids call us to see if we are OK....
So here we are....Trying to be calm....I realized one of my pills only had 5 left...I wouldn't make it till May....We went to the drug store..
They had to call our home Medicine Shop....They were very nice....So we stay in the house most of the time....
We cannot even go on the plane....(Remember when we can drive all over the USA)??? Hope that will be, again....

I'm no social butterfly, either, but I seriously miss the ability to go out and do this or that or go here or there when the idea strikes me. Of course, with all this there really isn't much of anywhere here or there open anyway.

Sorry to sound like an old misery, but I live next to a childrens playground and it's been wonderfully peaceful!

I hear you. The YMCA that I go to has a Summer Camp for children. They largely stay in the main gym, and while I am working out, I do enjoy hearing the laughter of their play, but for the full time employees it gets pretty old after a few days.
Living right next to all that noise would get a bit old.
Enjoy the peace!!

I totally understand where you're coming from. The saying " Free as a Bird ".... doesn't mean we need to be around crowds of people, simply, go where and when we want.
