Name Your Snack Foods and Why

I have a popcorn popping bowl for the microwave oven. Just pour in corn then nuke it. No oil, no salt, no chemicals. But yeah, an acquired taste if you are used to buttered or industrial chemical popcorn.

Apples.

I used to like the tart ones, but consuming so little sugar now even those taste sweet. Amazing variety of subtle flavors. A cold Honeycrisp is nice but too sweeet for me. Fuji is my go-to choice today. However I'll go for anything but a "Delicious" or "Golden Delicious" mushball. I prefer a crisp bite.

I have been warned off bananas twice now. Too much potassium and they spike blood sugar unless you eat them green.
I can't handle Golden Delicious or Delicious mush balls either! Yuk, ewww.
I do Granny Smith, Honeycrisp or Fugi, too.

Bananas are so high in SUGAR, and do spike blood sugar. I rarely eat a banana.

If you don’t snack now, I would encourage you not to start. 😉🤭😂

I try to control my snacking with carrot & celery sticks or fresh fruit but it never seems to keep me from grabbing a cookie, pudding cup, ice cream, nuts, leftovers of all kinds, toast, chips, etc… 🐷🐷🐷
I have the same problem. I try to snack healthy but I am still fovever hungry sometimes.

I try to snack on healthier things now. I was eating way too many candy bars and stuff. I try to eat fresh or canned fruit. I have Nutragrain bars and granola bars and those crunchy oats and honey bars.

Or I will have a sandwich or just some meat. I sometimes get hungry so I try to stick with healthy or regular foods instead of sugary snacks.

I've got a few things I have for snacks on a regular basis.

I enjoy a Fuji apple when I get them but sometimes I run out or I don't like the ones I see in the store.

I end up going through about 4 bags of Trader Joe's white cheddar popcorn most of the time. They also have a 100g 72% Belgium dark chocolate bar that I get and I break off two squares (20g) most days and go through a bar in about 5 days. If I'm feeling particularly hungry I sometimes eat another two squares.

I love nuts and usually have unsalted hazelnuts (filberts) and sometimes unsalted raw almonds. I'd love to get raw hazelnuts but Trader Joe's stopped carrying them and they are too expensive elsewhere. My wife also gets me the Kirkland unsalted nuts and I go through those picking out one type of nut at a time and eating about 10 or 12 of those. The mix has cashews, almonds, pecans and pistachios. I usually eat everything except the pistachios and save those for a treat at the end of the jar.

I used to find the wildly reduced power bars, protein bars or energy bars at Grocery Outlet and have those but I was gaining weight on those so I cut back. I still get them but eat them much less than I used to.

I recently started getting pretzels at Grocery Outlet but the didn't have them the last time I visited so I don't have those these days.

Since my weight loss, my go-to-snack became nuts.
Favorite is the Kirkland brand 'Extra Fancy Mixed Nuts, Unsalted (2.5 lb bag)

It has Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios and Pecans.

Sometimes I'll pair them up with a handful of Dried Dates.
(got the taste for Dates during the time I spent in the Middle East)

Love all kinds of Nuts. My motto is 'I never met a Nut I didn't like '.
