I froze 3 of the "homemade" chocolate covered strawberries my son bought for me a couple of months ago from a local candy shop, well known in our area for their chocolates. Forgot I had them until a couple of days ago. Today would be a good day to thaw and eat at least one of them. πŸ˜›

those strawberries will probably taste good but will NOT be like fresh ones.
 
Not giving up on dark chocolate because of one report. If you gave everything up that is supposed to cause cancer, you would have nothing left.

I am still amazed how many products are in stores that have the "California Proposition 65" on labels.

Consumer Reports and CBS are plausible sources. Two helpful notes, the report lists brands with the lowest concentration, and I suspect that chocolate manufacturers will feel the heat and do more to keep the Lead and Cadmium as low as possible.

Hate to tell you this but my trip to the garbage was with an untouched Trader Joeβ€˜s Pound Plus bar and another cut up and half eaten. My favorite, great chocolate and good for the heart β€” or maybe not?
