My favorite show, Shark Tank, recently had on someone who invented the new, Hater App.....

So...instead of meeting someone based on your "likes", because apparently that doesn't work, you can find someone who shares your same "dislikes".

Mark Cuban (one of the entrepreneur's), invested $200,000 in the app.

Match made in Heaven?

What do you think?

In some strange way this makes sense. I have found it is easy to find someone who I have similar "likes" with but I do think it is just as important to know what someone "dislikes".

That's what I was thinking, Falcon. Also, maybe this app is a good idea since the "dislikes" could be deal breakers in a relationship.

Definitely can be. Common hates (or enemies) seem to be more important than common likes for many people. It's pretty clear some folks feel more comfortable in a group setting where there is a common enemy. Perhaps it comes from a lack of self-confidence? It can make a person feel more confident if they have perceived supporters. If that enemy ever disappears, they seem to start fighting with each other. Maybe to flush out a new enemy? LOL!

An interesting topic. Thanks for posting Cindy.

Another one should be called the "Misery Loves Company" app. People can get together and complain to their heart's content. :) I've known people that thrive on negativity - this would be perfect for them !

LOL, I think that's a hilarious idea! The problem is, we probably all dislike or hate the same things. For instance, do you know anyone who likes getting calls from telemarketers, or even worse, scam artists? ;)

I like that show that I call GREED TANK. This App for haters is dumb and a bad idea. Mark Cuban shows how little he knows about dating and courtship. Anti-affinity groups do not work for romance. If the app is successful, it is only because some singles are so desperate, they will try
anything. I know because I tried online dating/matchups for years and it failed totally for me. .Besides, loads of people hate the same things like racism or violence-- means nothing. I hate cauliflower and rap music, so what? I don't want to meet someone like that.
Cuban has said on the show that unless he can make at least 10 million on a product, he's not interested. What? The show encourages expensive overpricing and the idea that entrepreneurship is The American Dream. It isn't.
