I am a video producer based in Melbourne Australia - I am turning my attention more and more to producing videos for older people with health problems. I look forward to taking part in this forum.

May I ask who you are making the videos for? Just wondering as if it's for ads to flog more pharmaceuticals you may get a burry reception.
Just a 'forewarned is forearmed' tip for you.
Like most I'll go the yards for a good cause, but resent being used merely as a marketing tool.

We're being targeted by hit-run wonder-gadget spammers pretending to be delivering 'their recent discoveries' of various inventions to the gullible elderly at present so please excuse the suspicious nature.

This a friendly forum, despite how I sound, and we look forward to your input.:)
 

Sorry Cas, I think I've been a bad influence on you.

He's probably okay, just saving time mucking about if he's spamming or conning that's all. They never come back for a second post as a rule so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt eh?

Actually kel*** rings a bell from another forum so he may be quite okay. I'm just being normally paranoid.

Thanks for the welcome messages guys. No, I am definitely not a scammer. I am professional video producer whose credentials can be seen at www.kelly.com.au. One month ago tonight I had my left knee totally replaced and I have used that journey as the basis for a Total Knee Replacement Tips & Advice DVD which is hopefully the start of these videos I want to produce for older people facing health problems like that one. I am loath to put the url here where you can read more about the DVD as Ive just joined this forum. Hope that answers any fears some of you might have had!!

Hi Michael - yes as I said in my initial message I am a video producer who is turning more to the seniors sector-getting too old to be climbing around oil platforms or mine sites. Over the past 15 years or so I have filmed quite a few knee, hip, ankle operations aswell as had a few performed on me!

Oh geeze Kel, now I feel bad. I've been watching the Gruen Transfer too long, I envisioned you with a pony tail and an ad campaign in the making.

That has to have been a career with some stories attached, we love stories. Many would be interested in the behind the scenes traumas of getting some of the footage we see. It sure can't all be point and shoot.

If we can help out with anything, just ask, otherwise this a great place for a good chat with people who share our boat and can have a laugh about it. Again, welcome aboard.
