Northern Gaza is in ‘full-blown famine,’ World Food Program leader says

I'm a deeply saddened by the loss of innocent bystanders no matter who they were.
Define "innocent." Children, of course, sure... but a lot of what the protest groups are calling "innocent bystanders" are actually supporting the terrorists (see link.) I know there will never be agreement here or anywhere else about this subject, and I'm fine with that... but there have been documentaries stating (from "the horse's mouth" if you will) that a Palestinian mother's responsibility is to raise children who hate Israel and the Jewish population and will do what's necessary to rid the planet of them. So yeah.... define "innocent."

Poll: Hamas Remains Popular Among Palestinians

Please note my post is responding to the term "innocent bystanders" and not in support of Netanyahu's choices or leadership.

That's up to the individual and I have little doubt that if I attempted to define the term it would get nit picked. I will add that I think most of us know what it means.
Oh, it would absolutely get nitpicked... everything has that potential. I trust you know it wasn't a request for an actual definition. ❓
In any case, it will be interesting to see how this whole thing resolves, eh?

Ah... Palestine Children's Relief Fund... I think I'll check into it as well. I'm pretty picky about where to donate for any cause because so many aren't transparent in how they distribute funds vs skimming off for their own execs, but maybe this one will work for me.
My wife and I concern ourselves mainly with the women and children in war torn areas. They are the innocent and cannot defend themselves. Too many are killed maliciously and without cause.

I have noticed on several occasions that if you save a child at an early age, they will grow up differently than a child who is left to save himself or the old “every man for himself” mentality. Even the children here in America act the same way. I have been proactive with children’s organizations that attempt to advance small children’s thinking that life should not be a struggle, but it’s as good as “you” can make it for yourself. Many kids have indeed responded positively and that’s what the goal is.

In Philadelphia, the PSP joined with the Philadelphia Boys Clubs, which goes under another name now because girls are also included, which slips my mind and we have demonstrated to a special Governor’s Board that if children in rough homes are treated and taught how to behave appropriately, they can grow up to be very good citizens. I still get a letter now and then thanking me for taking a child under my wing and teach them and get them thinking that they can be and do whatever they want, if we address them in a positive manner.

My wife took on a young female of 8 y/o. She had a terrible home life. She was raped by her 12 y/o brother and her mother’s boyfriend. She was introduced to drugs at an early age, along with alcohol. Today, she has completed high school, has a degree from Temple University and is the Director of HR for a large company in Philadelphia. She calls my wife or stops by every Christmas and they have exchanged gifts each year since 1991.

This now 30 something y/o female is married with 2 children and an educated husband. Their marriage is rock solid. My wife was so proud of her that after she graduated from Temple, she paid out of her own money for her and her mother to go to Disney World for 3 days, 4 nights. When they came home, she was able to get her mom to start going back to church and she has turned her life around. Unfortunately, her brother is serving a long stretch in prison. I last saw him in 2012 and his approximate release date is 2028, but he has had his issues in prison, so I don’t know if he had any time added on or not.

How do you tell who the “innocent bystanders” are in a country like Gaza where the militants don’t wear uniforms and you can’t tell a woman from a man in a burqa with an AK-47 under his dress and women have the same ideology as Hamas, and little Muslim boys are taught to throw rocks at Israeli soldiers until they’re old enough to hold a rocket launcher and lob rockets over into Israel? The IDF did provide incubators and safe passage out of the combat zone for small babies. When the Muslims attacked Israel they burned babies alive.

If ever there was a war involving Christ this must be it? Christ was of course Jewish for a while but has become much larger to christianity. Christ himself challenging his own politicians of the day who pursued him vicariously with Roman assistance and triumphed at his death.

The Jews fighting this 'war' feel isolated - surrounding by hostile Arab nations or some who at least will not support them in anyway. They rely upon the west for weapons and ideological support. Christ was crucified King of the Jews. I wonder whether Netanyahu will or does carry the same title by his supporters? This must be an ideological war of course - the Jews will quote history and say this is our land given for ever by Yauweh - we are simply taking back that which is rightly ours.

But what about sharing and caring? not possible? Another similar ideological war rages too - Russia and Ukraine - similar in many ways - the Russians this time says its their land and was stolen from them etc etc - We seem to live in a world of greed ; jealousies ; hatreds ; murdering and we don't seem to ever care about the babies?

Sounds and feels like almost on the verge of the return of Christs time perhaps? lets hope so heh?

It’s a shame what they have done to the Holy Lands. I remember when our parents took us 4 kids on an escorted tour of the Holy Lands beginning in Israel. We spent 10 days over there. We walked in the same steps as Jesus had walked. We were told many wonderful stories. For only being 14 at the time, that trip has had a lifetime effect on me.

We were able to speak with the heads of many religions. We ate at a Seder as part of the trip. We didn’t hear any shooting or see anyone carrying rifles. It was a trip that I wanted to share with my children, but too often, our government placed warnings for traveling in some of the areas where the tour traveled, so we would say maybe next year.

I think going through Jerusalem and then Jordan had the most effect on me. I remember walking about in Petra and praying with the local Christians. It truly was a wonderful 10 days. No one was bored. There was just something so exciting about being there and walking in the footsteps of Christ.

I think both Hamas and Israel have achieved their short term goals in the latest phase of the war. Hamas inflicted a strike against Israel, and banking on Israel's penchant for over reaction, Hamas has created generations of Arab retribution. And Israel's goal of impoverishing and destroying Arab areas. Both Israel and Hamas have long range goals of a Palestine without the other. This current shooting conflict is only positioning for the next round of death and destruction. Not only is this a political conflict, but also driven by the clash of fundamentalist religions.

I donate to World Central Kitchen on a consistent basis. I just received an email saying they are resuming operations in Gaza after 7 of their volunteers were killed there. They do great work around the world.

Palestinian-led teams resume work in Gaza

World Central Kitchen has resumed operations in Gaza, serving more than 1 million meals over the past week. The humanitarian crisis remains dire. We will continue to get as much food into Gaza, including northern Gaza, as possible—by land, air, or sea. We have 276 trucks, with the equivalent of almost 8 million meals, ready to enter through the Rafah Crossing. Dozens of these trucks have already entered Gaza this week. To date we have distributed more than 46 million meals and we are eager and ready to deliver millions more.

If the Likud Party is true to its vision for Israel, then isn't a done deal? It seems to be all encompassing.

According to Genesis 15:18 and Joshua 1:4, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile River in Egypt to Lebanon (south to north) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (west to east). On today’s map, the land God has stated belongs to Israel includes everything modern-day Israel possesses, plus all of the territory occupied by the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Thus, Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised; the rest of their inheritance likely awaits the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. God has given His word that the nation of Israel will never cease as long as the sun still shines by day and the moon and stars still shine by night (Jeremiah 31:35–37). ?????????????? sounds pretty clear??

Wars are only full of tragedies and atrocities. I think the leader of Israel and the leader of Hamas should just get in a boxing ring and fight till the death. Leave the rest of the world out of it.

Imagine the same with Biden and Putin. Not a good ending for the U.S.:ROFLMAO:. For this reason no leader of any state gets into a boxing ring.

I remember when we were in Jerusalem, our guide asked my 2 sisters to come up to where he was standing. He started talking about how Jesus was brought to this temple as a young boy by his Mother Mary to where the festival for Passover was being held. The guide said to my sisters that where they are now standing is where Jesus entered into the Temple. He said to them You are standing on sacred ground.

Sometimes, it just gave me chills as a 14 year old boy. I remember not eating much food while I was there. Only in the evening did we get American food. My dad would keep reminding us kids to keep drinking plenty of water.

the book "travelled" to all the significant places Jesus had visited and performed 'miracles' - of course many years ago we all could have travelled if we had the cash and hired such a tour - today sadly of course not - all who fight there whatever their cause have desecrated the 'holy walks' of Jesus imo - shame on this world
