Odd and Interesting Facts...

London Is The Smallest City In England. It's known as the square mile. If you are on one of the underground trains and see a station named, Moorgate, it's named after one of the original seven gates of the city wall. The others are Aldgate, Aldersgate, Bishopsgate, Cripplegate, Ludgate & Newgate.

What you think of London is actually just a small urban area part of the Greater London region. The city of London covers only 1.2 square miles and has a population of around 7,500 residents. As such, the city of London is actually the smallest city in England. Greater London, on the other hand, is an English region, which encompasses surrounding towns covering 606 square miles and having a population of over 8.7 million residents.
There is also some confusion about who the Mayor is. Sadiq Khan is the mayor of London, but Vincent Keaveny will be the 693rd Lord mayor of the City of London (from 12th Nov for a one year period.) The Lord Mayor acts as an international spokesperson for the City.

Dick Whittington and His Cat is the English folklore surrounding the real-life Richard Whittington (c. 1354-1423), wealthy merchant and later Lord Mayor of London.

Some healthy facts I learned today ...

1) If you are feeling a bit light-headed or anxious, could be a dip in blood sugar ... drink 6-8 oz of skim milk OR try dried fruit / nuts to ease the issue.

2) Store eye drops in the fridge .... COLD makes them better to penetrate the surface of the eye

3) And this one I am very guilty of ... Don't go barefoot in your home for lengthly periods.
By doing so, you wear away at the fat pads on your heels and the balls of your feet.
Ease discomfort of getting pain or calluses by wearing house slippers or sandals/shoes.

4) Hang out with like-minded friends to be at your best

There is a rather strange reason behind the fact that the headrests in the cars can be removed completely. This is in case you are stuck in the car and need to break the glass.

The two steel bars on the headrests can be used to do exactly that !

I rented a car when I was in London for the first time. London is so small it only took me a short while to locate the car rental business to return the car. Even though the streets run every which way, it is possible to keep from getting lost.

Did you know the octopus mom will stay with her eggs to protect them until she dies. She will not even leave to eat. This takes several months depending on the type of octopus. What a great mom! ❤️ There is a rumor that octopus and jelly fish are alien visitors.

"Whatever the reason, the octopus evolved an extraordinary nervous system. It can use tools, solve problems, and show unexpected creativity. In a now classic demonstration, octopuses can learn to open a glass jar by unscrewing the top in order to get to a tasty morsel within. The octopus has a central brain and also an independent, smaller processor in each arm, giving it a unique mixture of centralized and distributed command."-- Literary Hub
