One of The Suspects A Girl in Denver School Shooting

This world has gone mad. Everyday, it seems, we hear of yet another atrocity.

The girl was transgender, supposedly transitioning to be a boy, and they say he was bullied in school. The boy shooter is just another kid with a mental problem, having demonic signs, 666 and F___ society spray painted on his car. Both kids were armed with nothing more than pistols is what I heard reported.

Once again, the shooting takes place in a gun-free zone, only ones with the guns were the killers.

Once again there was no security guard or officer in the school or on the property who could have stopped the killing and attack.

Once again, there were no adults in the school who were experienced and legally permitted to use a firearm, no staff allowed on property with concealed carry permits who could have stopped a young boy and his friend who were attacking with nothing more than a hand gun.

Once again everyone sits back in wonder at how this horrible thing could happen.

Without security changes in these schools and other gun-free zones, lets just wait for the next one to happen and all be shocked again. Maybe some day when people wise up, the killer will be dead instead of the innocent victim.

Rest in peace to the young boy whose life was taken, sympathy to his family who are now mourning the loss of their son. :( I have nothing further to say.

I agree completely here !

Well....a good start would be to reopen the asylums , and start putting these folks in them at the first sign of mental imbalance / problems. And stop worrying so damn much about being P.C.

It's all about money. Mental health care costs money. And so does inmate upkeep. And the costs increase with age. That's why criminals are being released. Some moron psychiatrist says, "He/she is no longer a threat to society" to justify their release. Remember, John Hinckley is currently FREE with NO restrictions - after causing James Brady's death. What other country lets someone shoot the president & several others, kill someone, & walk free again? The Manson murderers are also up for parole; same reason. Remember O.J. Simpson's 33-year sentence for kidnapping & armed robbery (after getting away with two murders?) He was released after 9 years. An aging inmate with diabetes costs more for his upkeep.

We have a slew of kids born with mental illness - possibly the result of their drug-using, drinking mothers during pregnancy. These kids have no conscience; that part of the brain that says what we should or shouldn't do is damaged in the womb. Most of us, at one time have said something like, "I'd like to kill that S.O.B." But we won't because we know it's wrong & our conscience won't let us do something crazy. A bullied kid in school won't have the ability to resist. Someone with fetal alcohol syndrome (or a brain that was damaged by their mother's drug use) will lack impulse control.

I had a friend whose wife had fetal alcohol syndrome. She was in & out of prison her whole life - theft, forgery, attempted murder. She basically did whatever she felt like doing at the time - no conscience or acknowledgement of any consequences. When she saw someone she liked, she'd sleep with him...before & after her divorce.

I agree. It seems that most of these school and church attacks are being committed by people who have given signs of instability in the past. Today's Societies unwillingness to take these "Red Flags" seriously...for fear of labeling anyone as being "unbalanced" is resulting in increasing loss of lives. Schools, especially, should have a staff that closely monitors the activities of the students, and take action to investigate Every incident that occurs among the students.

Win 231 said......."It's all about money. "

And IMO he is correct....and we need to understand that as a nation, to have the things we need,... we need to be willing to pay for them. NOT the things that special interest groups want....but what we as a nation needs to be safe.

And again opinion...but properly staffed & secure asylums are a good start. And let's get back to supporting our police. Perhaps hiring more of them as well.

How did these kids get the guns in the first place to kill these people?

The same way people get cocaine, meth & other things they want. When anything is illegal, a black market develops. (Prohibition, prostitution, racketeering, etc.) Criminals don't buy from a gun shop because, if they have a criminal record, they won't pass the required background check. That doesn't stop them. The Columbine kids bought their guns from a friend. There is no way to prevent someone from selling something privately. Of course it's not legal, but the crime they're about to commit is much more serious than an illegal sale, so it doesn't matter to them. That's why more gun laws don't work.

Oddly enough guns laws work in countries that have them
I wonder why they don’t work in the USA?
note: forgot might lead to political debate :eek:nthego:

There are so any unregistered guns in the US that any attempt to limit the number of guns would probably be a waste of time and effort. Besides, any "laws" are usually ignored by those who create most of the problems. There are so many "disturbed" people anymore, that the risk of getting targeted by these lunatics is increasing every year. About all a person can do is stay aware of their surroundings. Schools. especially, need to take every possible measure to insure the safety of these kids....and that requires that taxes be raised sufficiently to hire security guards, and place metal detectors, etc., at the entrances. If this stupidity continues, the day may come when entering a school closely resembles airport security.

Other countries don't have a revolving-door justice system. In some countries, if you're a danger to others, you're executed, or locked up forever....how it should be.

Thank you Don.

Thank you. I had to look up revolving door justice system .

Revolving door politics ....
The cycling of employees between industry and government agencies that influence that agency , notably the US Congress.

’way to go’ THAT man:clap:

Thanks for the correction Retiredtraveler, when I first heard of the shooting, they said there was no "School Resource Officer" on the property, I wasn't aware that there was a guard present.

The school does not have a school resource officer, but has one armed security guard hired from a private company.

I agree, SeaBreeze.
