Now it's 2024, one of my friends decided we should celebrate being in The Diamond Club (60yrs friendship), and the others we've known less are in The Gold Club (50yrs friendship). We celebrated with tea and cake

Today I'm grateful for my many creature comforts. A nice home with heat and AC, a pool in the yard, plenty of food, safe water from my tap, appliances that ease my workload, vehicles that reliably transport me wherever I want to go, good healthcare, and so much more.

I've been fortunate and blessed, and am truly thankful.

What is it that's behind everything? Why is it is it that we are here?we are here? What is our purpose? I guess soon we will find out.

I do have many thoughts on the subject and hold them very dear as I hold the Creator so dearly in my heart for without whom, I wouldn't not even exist.

I guess from the time I started reading Stephen King novels, and I can't remember when that was exactly (1980's?), I've wanted to be a writer. I still get ideas and try to flesh them out all the time. I've started writing a hundred different stories but only finished a few. I thought when I retired that writing would be one of the things I would spend more time on. Perhaps I may still squeeze a few words in.that I should say something about it. . I simply want to get at the truth, straightforward, nothing but only the beautiful truth.

What is it that is behind everything? Why is it is that we are here? What is our purpose? .

Wednesday driving home from visiting my oldest son I was thinking how wonderful it is that all 3 of my boys are doing so well.

My late wife and I had 63 very good years together. I do miss her.

Today I'm grateful for the miracle and wonder of indoor HVAC and plumbing. Leaving warm beds for warm bedrooms and indoor bathrooms, then stepping into warm showers was a joy unknown to most humans until the very recent past.

Many on the planet are still without these luxuries.
