Our version of retirement: Living a childhood dream

Great moon tonight
I think it's still waxing

Wish I could see the Nikon settings, moons are tricky

Our son and his girls just came into port from a 36 hr dock to dock tuna trip
134 fish
Good trip

He and his littlest ('best deck hand ever') were pretty spent, but he had the energy to video his little pep talk with her, before they turned in;

Glad they had a good trip, @Gary O' ... unable to see video =(

My lady is known for the socks she knits

She could sell them, but chooses to give them as gifts
Folks, rich and poor, love them

What most don't know, is she processes the wool from the sheep (or alpacas)

Cleaned, dyed, carded and spun

Seems quite tedious to me, but she enjoys it so

I have a friend who used to do that. She isn't doing it presently but is busy with setting up a new house. She had an angora rabbit and a couple of sheep that she processed it from. Also had a group she met with and they traded their fiber among themselves. I still have a hat and mittens she made for me some years ago. She dyed them purple (my favorite color) with grape Kool-Aid.
