I didn't go looking because the only one I wondered about was right under my nose from the time I was six years old. One of my maternal aunts, a nurse, had a "tumor" while her husband was away in the Seabees during the war. She gave her tumor up for adoption. At about the same time, a paternal uncle and his wife adopted a baby girl. Many years later, after my nurse aunt died, I learned that the baby girl adopted by my uncle and aunt was really my maternal aunt's "tumor".
When I was a teen, I babysat after school for my nurse aunt, who by then had had another baby. She'd ask me from time to time about my uncle's daughter. Actually, growing up, the cousin was a snippy little spoiled brat so I never had much to say about her except that. She's still a snippy little spoiled brat!
