I didn't go looking because the only one I wondered about was right under my nose from the time I was six years old. One of my maternal aunts, a nurse, had a "tumor" while her husband was away in the Seabees during the war. She gave her tumor up for adoption. At about the same time, a paternal uncle and his wife adopted a baby girl. Many years later, after my nurse aunt died, I learned that the baby girl adopted by my uncle and aunt was really my maternal aunt's "tumor".

When I was a teen, I babysat after school for my nurse aunt, who by then had had another baby. She'd ask me from time to time about my uncle's daughter. Actually, growing up, the cousin was a snippy little spoiled brat so I never had much to say about her except that. She's still a snippy little spoiled brat!

Forgive if this is a dumb question, but was there some scandal ....i.e., had nurse aunt had an affair and gotten pregnant by someone other than her husband?

applecruncher...yes...sort of scandalous but it was wartime. My aunt lived and worked in a town about 30 miles away, had two young boys and a husband who only came home on leave long enough to beat the living daylights out of her. It's no wonder she went looking elsewhere when he was gone!

My cousin is a ringer for my aunt, but only physically. Unfortunately, she has none of the brains, grace, wit, charm or talents, only the pretty face. And that is my catty remark for the day. Now, would you mind passing that saucer of milk over here, please? LOL

Georgia, this therapissed says honest, not catty. Good for you telling it like it is. Not everyone is wonderful like we are.:love_heart:

Oh, good! Honest...too bad Diogenes isn't still around. Wait. He was looking for an honest man.

Not catty. Swell because I really don't like milk:D. Not in a glass or in a saucer or any other way except in my coffee.
