You're making some interesting points, though, El C. And I thought of one last night: one of the flaws in that study you linked is that it doesn't specify the types of crimes of the criminals they tested, other than that the crimes were "violent." And that could include somebody who punched someone in the face, or had a gun or knife on him at the time of commission.IQ is genetic. It is genetic in East Asians and Ashkenazi Jews, as well as all of humanity and frequently manifests itself in skull volume, just as genetic athletic abilities are gifted on some more than others. No doubt a product of evolution in a variety of environments.

I suggest we leave it here, lest this discussion degenerate into politics versus an unpleasant truth, which is the way it’s headed.
Several decades ago, the FBI did a study among incarcerated criminals that showed criminals with "lower intelligence" - i.e., who dropped out of school early and/or attended sporadically - they tended to committed crimes such as assault and battery, robbery, burglary, shoplifting, and car theft, while most criminals of "higher intelligence" tended to commit "sophisticated" bank robberies and serial murders.
They also created 2 categories of crime as a result of this study; Organized crimes and Disorganized crimes. Criminals with "lower intelligence" fit in the Disorganized category, and criminals with "higher intelligence" fit the Organized category.
(I can't find this study, but it was mentioned several times in a documentary I watched on Netflix)
