Plastic surgery... When should enough be enough,

I have always said I was happy I was just average in looks. It must be so hard or the beautiful/handsome people as they age. I really don't give a crap, it is what it is when you get older. I do regret the thinning of my hair but so it goes for some of us.

People can modify their body even without any surgery. Some examples:

The following example doesn't always need a surgeon:

These are only a few examples of even today used kinds of body modification.
So when should enough be enough (with or without surgery)? Never, as long as somebody wants it. We should stop thinking that these people are mentally ill, only because we don't understand their reasons. Just my 2 cents.

I was browsing thru Forum history and came upon this thread.

The woman originally in question - in our eyes - destroyed herself. Somehow I don't think she sees it that way.

Of course a person can do what they want to their own body, no matter how wrong it may seem to us. But where I draw the line is with the medicos that do the work. They are grossly at fault, and IMO in violation of their "oath".

I'm reminded of the doctor that facilitated "Octomom's" getting impregnated with 8 kids. And then there are the doctors that watched over Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Lord knows how many others - allowing them to self-destruct.
