Pregnant Texas woman ticketed in HOV lane says fetus should count as passenger.

A pregnant woman ticketed for driving in a high-occupancy vehicle lane in Texas says her fetus should count as a second passenger, citing the recent Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.

Brandy Bottone of Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, was driving in the HOV lane on U.S. Hwy. 75 on June 29 when she was pulled over after passing a Dallas County Sheriff Department's checkpoint targeting those driving in the lane alone, the Dallas Morning News reported Friday.

She is crazy in my opinion. She knows she is wrong. Just pay the ticket and drive where you are supposed to like the rest of us!
I think she has a major point because the state she lives in, given their rancor towards women's rights, should address this issue, maybe even resulting in being brought to the USSC.

She is being proactive in drawing attention to the absurdity of the ruling. Kudos to her.
The courts are not to be used to protest, that is a waste of resources. Now, if she honestly believes she has a legal point, fine, but I think she is just grandstanding to garner attention. The thing is, it is going to set a nonsense trend for other women to do the same thing, more resources wasted.

The most important question so far this decade is not nonsense for women. It must be fought with every means necessary. Every Means Necessary, Every Legal Avenue to Pursue. Travel the road that leads to a woman's Self Determination and control over her own personhood.
