question about neuropathy and treatment with Ultima Neuro

I was diagnosed with Periferial Neuropathy a few months ago and my Internist just wanted to treat the symptons with Gabapenten. I should say that this is a new doctor I'm sad to say because the one I'd been seeing for years retired with a medical issue. A friend saw an add put out by a chiropractor so I went to the seminar and he really did seem to know what he was talking about so I went to see him. He said I was in the very early stages and if I used this unit I would show marked improvement within 3 to 4 months. I just passed the end of the second month I've thought a couple of times that I was seeing some improvement, but it seems that every time I skip a Gabapentin I wind up seriously regretting it. Sorry for the long post, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this treatment and what the results were. At the moment I'm sitting here, my legs are burning and the rest of me is freezing. I'm in FL and it certainly isn't cold. Thanks Again, sorry, I did split this post into paragraphs, but when I posted it, it all ran togeather

The reviews seem to be generally good for this TENS unit. The price is right as well. I'd give it a try.
I have been and still have a couple months to go on his original estimate. So I guess I'll see. Was hoping for a response from someone with first hand knowledge, but thanks.

I take 100 MG Gabapentin & 50 MG Tramadol at bedtime each night. It's a great help in getting a good night's rest.

There is a lot of questionable crap being marketed to those of us with PN. I have had PN for 6 years caused by Chemo.

Gabapentin has helped me as much as anything.

It helps me to but it just masks the symptoms, if possible I'd like to go beyond that and at least get a partial reversal that's why I'm trying the Ultima Neuro. I've got a couple months to go so I guess I'l just tough it out.

Reversal just ain't gonna happen despite the claims of some.

I tried Alpha Lipoic Acid for several months with no effect at all. I will add that in the last couple of weeks I've gone from 1200 to 600 mg of Gabapentin using the Ultima Neuro and still have less pain then I did while on 1200 mg. Only time will tell but it at least appears to be progress.
