Question of the Day?

Live, Laugh and Love
If there was a pill you could take and live forever, would you take it? Why or Why not?

I would take it only if I continue to stay healthy and in my right frame of mind. If that was not the case, then no. I would not want to live and become physically dependent on others to take care of me.

No. In my lifetime of 75 years the world has changed so much I no longer feel I belong here. Just think of what will happen in another couple of centuries.

Now if you had a pill that would scoot me back to a century before I was born, I would be interested.

Only if I can stay ambulatory and have physical health and a good working mind. I have seen so many changes in the world since 1942 when I was born, I'd like to see the changes from now on, too.

I think most people would love to live forever...I want to live for as long as I can, but I'm also eager to find out what, or if anything, is on the other side?...Who knows, it may be even better, or may just be nothing at all, kind of what it was like before we were all born...My gut, and studies in science and quantum physics, tells me there is something else once we leave this empty cage of flesh, because energy cannot be destroyed, it has to go somewhere...If human consciousness can exist outside of the brain, things are going to get very interesting after death.

no I would opt out of that' reason being it will be war of the worlds in years to come -and iam looking forward to my nxt adventure
in time ?

No, I always believed in reincarnation when I was younger, now I’m not sure what I believe. If my hubby was still alive n we both took the pill maybe, but the thought of watching everyone I love die I’m pretty sure I couldn’t handle that.

Me too, I used to believe in reincarnation. What turned me off eventually is the belief that you're supposed to learn your lessons from your prior life. So, how do you learn those lessons if you don't know what you did wrong in your prior life? ALL religions are a bunch of hogwash invented by humans to make sense of our existence.

I'd tend to agree with that, PVC, except I wouldn't say "all," I'd say "most." The humanistic religions that don't rely on fairy tales about supernatural events, or dreamy wishes to live forever, make a lot more sense to me.

You got that right, hogwash!

NO! The world has now got so crazy in just 50 years. I can't imagine living forever. That would be real stupid. All your family, your friends, your value system, your way of life would be gone. You would be some sort of freak & you would hate your life. Today, I can't even stand the stupid music they play out loud in the grocery stores. I can't imagine what garbage they would play in 100 years.
