I meant Kat's new one. Yours is nice too Terry!

Thank you!I love your avatar picture!
I do not own a car so using the delivery for groceries is worth it for me. I give a 15% tip on my deliveries. On Instacart my delivery fee is only about $2.99 or something like that because I have a subscription to it. Now for Walmart I am using the free trial presently so there is no delivery charge yet. I guess the tip was 10% ? It was only $3.50 and they charged it separate from the groceries. I have only used it once so far. The subscription to it is $98. or half if you have a SNAP benefit account.
If I get transportation to Walmart, I go inside. I would much rather go inside to shop than pick them up outside the store. If I am there in the parking lot I want to go inside.........I like to shop for groceries! Crazy I know, but I really do.
if they put you on ignore, you will still see their posts, but they wouldn't see yours.. so don't worry Kat...Sometimes I worry that when a member is missing that they put me on ignore and that is why I don't see their posts.
I got the name of a guy locally off my fakebook scanner page. He does landscaping, snow removal and junk removal. He has a good reputation there.Kat, who will you get to remove your bed and recliner from your flat ?...
I want to replace 2 beds in my house.. they're good beds and not very old, .. but with one the gas lift has stopped working . I want to change rooms completely , decorate and move my bed into a different room.. but I have to find someone who can move these very heavy things out of my house
It's always good reading your news, @katlupe! I was in bed these past few days nursing a bad cold, and today I feel a little better. I have a top foam mattress that has helped me these past few years for my back issues. Good luck in your search for a good bed!I do not make new year's resolutions. I always have a running list of things I am doing regardless of the date. A list of things I have to or need to do. Sometimes I do them, sometimes I don't. I do not forget about them though because they are always on my list. Many times, I do make changes gradually whether it is in my apartment or in me.
I am still trying to organize my cupboards in the kitchen so I can get certain things out of the upper cupboards easier. My shoulders both hurt so when I reach up to take something out of the cupboard it will make my shoulder hurt the rest of the day. As much as I love clear counters, I have had to put dishes and bowls out on the counter so I can just grab them. It is quicker and less painful. So today I want to see if I can eliminate items from the cupboard that I have not used in the last year. Everything on the counter presently I use often.
I am planning on replacing my bed and the recliner sometime this coming year. Both things are uncomfortable for me to use. I want an adjustable bed. I have not used my bed since about 2020 I think. I cannot lay flat and propping myself up with the wedge and pillows is not comfortable either. The recliner is comfortable but hard to get out of and the manual recline lever is impossible for me to use. I have never been able to recline it and have to use a footstool to keep my feet up. I sleep in that. I have an idea of the ones I might want to buy. So keeping that in mind.
Thank you, I hope you feel better! It's always good reading your news, @katlupe! I was in bed these past few days nursing a bad cold, and today I feel a little better. I have a top foam mattress that has helped me these past few years for my back issues. Good luck in your search for a good bed!
Thanks for the explanation. I understand. I'm very fortunate that I don't have any physical restrictions (yet) at 77 but I'm getting to the point I hate going grocery shopping. I've always been a loner and now that hubby is gone, I'm content to be at home by myself.@Colleen, I got the walmart plus when I had to have a hip replacement. The recovery was not bad but I was not allowed to drive for a few weeks. I found that it was very helpful when I did not feel well to get out and shop.
I have kept the membership to use as needed. Just another convenience when I don't feel well or the weather is bad. To me, it is well worth the membership fee, to have the option of delivey is amazing when you live alone.
I do have a son that could shop for me but he has his own family to look after and I do not want to throw another thing on his list. The store is only a half mile from my home so the driver is not spending a lot for gas. The tip, to me is very little to have someone carry all those heavy thing to my door and I am happy to give it.
Yes, I have used pick up many times in the past. I need a few things now but I am not feeling well. I will do a delivery order for tomorrow since I do not feel up to going out. Thanks for the explanation. I understand. I had to go to the bank this morning and it's been pouring rain most of the day. At least it isn't snow..haha. Anyway, I thought I'd stop at Walmart after the bank as they are close to each other. I drove into Walmart. Drove around the parking lot. It was packed. I drove right out again and came home. I'll probably order online like I always do and go pick it up but I thought about you and the delivery and wondered if it wouldn't be a convenient option for me, too.

Ditto. No to spinach. And, no shellfish w/this darn kidney disease.Kat , I just looked it up about Spinach, and my goodness you're right. I had no idea. Not that I eat a lot of Spinach tbh.. but I do have it occasionally, so as I have stage 3 Kidney disease, I'll steer clear of that from now on..
Interesting what you said about spinach and the oxalates. It also goes bad quickly, so I only get frozen spinach (and eat it cooked, occasionally).I used Instacart today for grocery delivery from Price Chopper. I needed more spring mix for Rabbit and Jeff needed more food. So I ordered it this afternoon. Spring mix is hard to order because sometimes the same brand will pack it full of spinach. If I can look it over in the store I am careful about what I get for him. Spinach is full of oxalates and not good for bunnies (or people). So it is a gamble when I have it delivered. If it comes with a lot of spinach I go through the whole container and throw away the spinach. He won't eat it anyway. He knows.
I also did my vacuuming. Floor and furniture. What a difference it makes! Tomorrow it is the bathroom's turn. I was so tired out when I finished that I sat in my recliner and watched the first episode of Dynasty. When it was on television I never missed it. Now watching the first episode there is a lot of it that I don't remember. Amazon Prime has it on for free right now.
Now time for supper.
Okay, I will take a second look at all the benefits. I don't have Microsoft Edge so probably won't get the coupons unless they send them in an email.Look at other things you might receive free with the subscription. I did not get my order placed yesterday so I just did it about an hour ago. I did not realize I could get express delivery, in two hours are less. In addition I had a pop up from Microsoft Edge about coupons that might apply. There was a coupon for 20 savings with an order of 50 dollars. So I got that savings and I believe it said I could use up to 3 times this next month on delivery orders,
