Reflections of My Life

That's sad they don't lay salt or anything.
It's okay. Usually one of the guys who lives here does it. When Sonny came here more often he used to shovel the ramp and salt it. The maintenance man gets here around 9 and someone has usually done it by then. He doesn't come here every day though. They keep a bucket of salt by the door.

Yesterday I made the chocolate peanut butter fudge with Keto Chow. Came out perfect! I cannot remember the last time I ever had fudge since I quit eating sugar. My father used to make peanut butter fudge all the time. He had a sweet tooth and of course, ended up diabetic (even though he was never overweight and did a lot of physical work right up to age 93). I cut it small pieces and will only have 1-2 pieces in one day. Part of a meal not a snack. I never eat a snack and not going to start with the fudge.

I just looked out the window because I heard the snow plow. The guy who lives downstairs is cleaning off the car of a tenant who lives down the hall from me. So nice when I see people do something like that for others. The tenant down the hall is my neighbor and friend and his wife is my friend who has dementia. She is in the nursing home and I have not seen her since June. She would not know me now. He goes every day to see her and spend time with her. But he says she does not know who he is either and they have been married 57 years. Frustrating for him, I know.

Rabbit loved her because she brought him treats of berries or bananas. The last time she came here near the end of May, Rabbit was staying in one spot and not coming of his cage. He did not feel good. When he heard her voice he came right out to where she was sitting! Put a smile on her face!
