RIP - Ray Liotta...

They say he was from Newark, not Newark. He was from town here, Union, NJ. It's just near Newark.
He graduated about 5 years before me.

I once talked with a teacher he had. The teacher said that he was one of the single nicest, most polite students he ever had!!
If I recall, he was in a romantic relationship, completely in love with a woman who was profoundly disabled. Completely loyal and devoted to her.

‘Goodfellas’ star Ray Liotta dead at 67: report
He was born in Newark.

My favorites were "Goodfellas" and "Silence of the Lambs"

I have read that his friends all thought he was a genuine person. He loved his daughter and his ex-wife. “Goodfellas” was definitely a great movie, even though I am not a Robert De Niro fan. I think he is a fake. Joe Pesci, on the other hand, is a really cool guy. I really liked him in the first movie I saw him in, “Easy Money.”

I haven't followed his movie career very closely, (mainly because I dont go to many movies), but his face was often seen on UK tv screens, and he was a very convincing actor from what I have seen, which is the main asset an actor needs of course.

Scares you a little that such a star has died of natural causes and is a year younger than myself, and from the warm tributes above it would appear the man had much to commend him outside of acting, RIP.
