Show Us Your House or A Little Corner in Your Home!

The brown thing on the floor to the right of the bed is a thick, covered crib mattress where my boy dog, Mason, sometimes naps but mostly uses it as a way to jump up into bed at night ... and jump down onto. Much easier on his 12yr old joints.

Handmade Amish quilt I bought in about 2004 - 2005. I don't use it as long as dogs sleep with me but tossed it on the bed for a pic today.
I have long forgotten the pattern name of the quilt. Shoot .... maybe some of the quilt peeps can help me out ??

that's a beautiful quilt. The room however is very sparse... so in itself it looks Amish...

Well, it's exactly where a lifelong bachelor ... and his dog might sleep ;)

The chair to the right of the bed headboard is a handmade prison industry chair from Florida and the 1940's.
Inmates used to make things to bring a little cash now and then.
Partially shown below, but better seen in the previous post.

Behind the old house door is a clothes basket, Dyson canister vac and 6ft step ladder to get into the attic. So a bit of clutter there :ROFLMAO:

@hollydolly ... PLENTY of clutter in the walk in closet that goes the length of that bedroom wall.
Just waiting on spring to get in there and clean and organize the junk.
Also the boy dog Mason and a Dyson upright vac.
House was built in 1945, so yeah, old doors throughout.

Original watercolor on the wall is from Pawley's Island South Carolina where my sister lived and she gave it to me.

@Sassycakes ... Retired Navy Chief here and respect your husband's service with all my heart.
The medal he's wearing is a National Defense Service Medal.
Hard to tell from the pic but the rating badge looks like Personnelman (PN3) Petty Officer Third Class.

My wife is a devoted Catholic, and over the years we visited many places of Marian worship and other places of Catholic pilgrimage. In 2016 we visited Fatima in Portugal and Lourdes in France.

The first picture shows a six piece tile set depicting Fatima and is my wife's shrine in a corner of our living room.
The middle row shows Fatima; and the bottom row illustrates Lourdes.

This picture of my living room is taken from the steps going to the second floor. Some of my favorite things are here; the piano, synthesizer, and harp. I also have a large, round icon of the Virgin Mary in the left corner near the harp. I still keep some Christmas stuff throughout the year like the Christmas hat on the lights, the Santa on the piano, and the nutcracker near the window. The pink throw is one of the throws I have knitted.

The kitchen and den are my favorite areas. I keep my plants in both rooms. The kitchen has become
my paint station because of the plentiful sunlight that streams in from the window. The den in the
back has my treadmill, books, icons, and my desk where I do most of my work. Next to the radio are
all my papers and books from when I was researching my PhD dissertation. I still need to tackle that corner.
Some of my paint-by-number paintings are on the walls.Kitchen2023-2.JPG

I built this spa room last year, Hot tub every morning, the table has big rollers that travel up and down your back and there is a padded exercise floor. Almost everything used to build it came from some other home that I remodeled and collected.
