Sinéad O’Connor, acclaimed Dublin singer, dies aged 56

Is she another one...who lived her.life...like a candle In the wind?

Sinead was very young when she ripped the picture of the Pope on SNL.

Gawd forbid we are all judged for life by our worst moments.
Wether intentional or not she never fully capitalized on that moment. So much potential. She needed more albums and tours/concerts early in career and she would've been set to lead the life she wanted. I admire those who do their own thing but was because of issues or that's what she really wanted.

It's ironic that the song that made her famous was a Prince song and look at how his life ended.

Nothing against her, but her music wasn't what I like.

I do applaud her for the tearing up of the pope's picture. He and others had ample chance to correct what was going on .... they chose not to.

Some celebs are mad at other celebs who didn't associate with/support her while she was alive. Apparently she was purposely avoided by some in the industry.

She came onto the scene with a bang even though controversial but she avoided or failed to capitalize on that notariety. I admire people who lived life their way regardless of what others thought. I expected more not just music to listen to but felt she had great potential as far as talent. You wouldn't hear or see anything for years on end it seemed then her name popped up in the news. She fell into the background but it didn't bother her.
