Site suddenly got instantly slow

I don`t know why then, my connection is WiFi from the modem several rooms away and it loads instantly. Maybe a U.S. thing? just a question though, is it JUST this site for most of you?

I'm in the northeast US and so far I have not been having problems with loading posts here on SF. It's not slow at all. It is now 11:05 EST.

I experienced that, also. I thought it was something wrong on my end. Deleted site cookie and cleared cache. Still loads normally some times; hangs others.

I am having the problems, too. With just this site, it seems, though I haven't been to much else, this morning.
But the few others I glanced at, did work fine, and this one repeatedly is not getting to whatever next page, within the site, that I click on.
It is just past noon, in the northern part of the Northeast of USA.

AGES! We just got high speed for the first time not long ago and could download huge albums in less than a second or movies in a bit more. Now it takes longer to add a ‘like.’
It took about 13 seconds to load this page.
That’s crazy.

I did that too but it made zero difference.

My computer, Windows 7, is always slow, but yes, this site has gotten slower for me too.

It is definitely this site! I was fine until an hour ago, now long pauses between loading pages! This has never happened to me before!

I’m in Canada. Now I get a separate page for if I want to add a ‘like’ but there’s no other options like the laughing face, shocked face etc

Now my like button no longer works at all.
This slowness is affecting all my internet activity. I went to YouTube and it took about 90 seconds for the video to load. When it finally did, it would stop and start and the voice doesn’t match up with the mouth. Everything is slow and out of sync. After viewing the video, people’s avatars would show up lastly which was minutes later.
This is very strange. Is it possible that this site got hit with a virus?

I can’t get a screen grab of the thin orange line I see moving left to right across the top of page. Sometimes it’s like orange railway tracks.

That orange line goes back and forth about 10 times before I get to this thread. To look at my notifications it’s almost twice that long.
Maybe I’ll try using something else. Actually no I won’t. I’ve logged off snd back on deleted cookie history. Etc
Before this the site was working great or at least it seemed to me. I hope it gets better.

I had problems yesterday too. At one point I got a message the site was down. I waited and awhile later it was back to normal.
