A series of horrifying videos posted to social media show a Subway worker in Providence, Rhode Island, walking through food on the counter before throwing it on the floor, decorating the bathroom with sandwich ingredients and drinking out of bottles before putting them back.

Jumanne, who goes by Jumanne Way - a play on the fast-food restaurant Subway - on YouTube, posted a series of stomach-churning videos showing him vandalizing the restaurant.

In a video he uploaded just yesterday, the employee showed silver tubs of ingredients laid out on the floor.

He then recorded himself as he walked across the food before placing the tubs back behind the counter - presumably to use in customers' sandwiches.

In another video posted last week Jumanne said: 'F*** Subway' before throwing trays of bread on the floor and walking across them.

In an interview with DailyMail.com Jumanne revealed his motive behind the videos: 'Unfortunately, I'm a content creator, so I create controversial videos to be able to potentially monetize my audience on YouTube and other social media platforms.'

He admitted that he was worried about being convicted of a crime but noted that it was 'a decision I made over time'.

'I just reached a point where I decided I would be willing to take a higher risk for a higher reward,' he added, referring to the money he would potentially make from his videos as that reward.

'There's a lot of consequences within creating controversy but I accept whatever happens.'

However, he said that he's 'still in the beginning stage' of chasing clout and couldn't comment on whether he had gotten the response he was hoping for.

It’s unfortunate that YouTube, Facebook, and other social media outlets at least indirectly encourage unwise, unhealthy, or outright criminal behavior by allowing the posting of ā€œchallengesā€ that those seeking their moment of questionable fame respond to and post their own video ā€œreplies.ā€ In my area, school bathrooms and buses have been vandalized by such ā€œchallenges.ā€ Where are the moderators on such sites, or is this another ā€œfree-dumbā€ issue? 😟

I worry a little about things like this happening every time I eat out. The world is full of crazies...

The good news is I have eaten out a lot in life, but to my knowledge never gotten sick as a result... Well there was this one time almost 50 years ago I got food poisoning after eating at a little cafe in Winnemucca, Nevada. Never went back and never got food poisoning again, that I can remember anyway.

My husband was a great one for eating out and he was too often sick with stomach problems. I learned from my aunt how callous food handlers can be. She worked most of her life in the Horn & Hardart food service automats in NYC. Turned me off to eating out, but I did, occasionally, to please him. Now, except for maybe pizza that goes into an 800+ degree oven, I don't eat anything not prepared by me. People can be sloven jerks.

I saw something at a subway shop several years ago that turned me off forever.I used to like to get a veggie sub after I went to a nearby library. I was in line when a woman employee was spreading guacamole on a roll for an order ahead of mine and then wiped the spreader off on the seat of her slacks. I didn’t see what she did with it after that. I turned and walked out.

For this reason. I never eat food that someone has cooked in their kitchen. You just never know their standards of cleanliness and I am haunted by the picture of deb’s kitchen from her old house. I do eat out and got very sick after I ate a sandwich from firehouse sub with a three week hospital stay as the result.

Can’t prove it was their food though. It was not food poisoning. So it could be a coincidence, but not taking a chance.

I got sick after eating Long John Silver's fish. That was the end of fast food for me.
Yup fish is always questionable at a lot of places and so expensive at ā€œgoodā€ places. We buy it at Costco and they always say if it was previously frozen, cause you can not refreeze fish as far as I know until you have cooked it.

He, he! Very funny! Makes me glad that I don't go to restaurants. If you are too lazy to cook at home then you are depending on someone else to cook for you. You don't know what is going on behind "closed doors". Me, I'm not much of a cook but I do cook for myself. You wouldn't find me going into a restaurant with a mask and being served by another masked person. By the way, this is fairly common. I have seen videos like this posted from the UK about 2 years ago. You want cheap, ready made food and the employers pay their staff very little. The staff do get pretty mad sometimes because customers can often be real jerks. I know what I'm talking about as my 1st wife owned a Subway before she got into Panago Pizza business. There is a lot of pressure on the night of the "Big Game" when everyone wants their fast food NOW!

Furthermore, I bet most people don't know that the people who live in the poorer section of town tend to tip the delivery drivers the most. The people in the big, fancy, monster houses are so cheap that often they don't tip at all. Go figure that one out!

well tbf there are restaurants and there are restaurants... pay peanuts you might get monkeys, but in other restaurants where the staff are highly trained it could be a very different way..

I had food posioning twice. one from a pub restaurants which served Prawn cocktail in a jacket potato.. and the prawns damn near killed me.. I was sick for 2 weeks and the Doc had to come in every day and give me antihistamine injections

The second time was several years later from a Fish and chip shop.. this time it was Battered Cod.. ( both times fish ).. again I was so poorly I've never eaten fish from a Fish and chip shop since..

OTOH>> my DD.. O/H and s-i-l all got Food poisoning from a high end restaurant after eating Oysters served on ice...fortunately I don't like oysters so I escaped that one

When a stranger prepares your food, you roll the dice.
I've had food poisoning twice - all were from "Good, Classy" restaurants. We can't inspect every kitchen or check food-storage temperatures & even if we did, we can't verify who washed their hands & who didn't.
I posted reviews on both restaurants to warn others. The owners contacted me & offered free meals if I took down my reviews.
I said, "No thanks. I don't need more fever, vomiting & diarrhea."

I'd charge the food poisoners, spitters and contaminators with bio terrorism. At best this turd might get some assault charges. If the customers who bought those orders while he was duty can be tracked down via an electronic transaction or they have a reciept I hope they sue the perp and it takes him decades to pay off the suit.

That being said this so called employee hates their job, resents the customers and view their employer/management as the enemy. They exist in most companies and many can affect alot of people including their employer like this clown. They lack coping skills and probably should be in prison, institution and/or on a shrinks couch for a long time.

Yes shellfish and mollusks deteriorate very rapidly!

Could be the reason the ancient Hebrews declared them unclean; not fit to eat.
In those days without refrigeration, it was a wise law.
