Swearing in Movies!!

Swear and cuss words are mostly guttural
There's gratification is using them
The F word is a prime example
Its quite easy to spit that word out...with venom

Too many, used in almost every sentence, lose their impact

Excessive profanity and vulgarity as well as their too common acceptance is part of the widespread desensitization and coarsening of society generally. It's a cancer which grows, a virus which destructively spreads. Parents are horrified if they are called to school because of their kids using unacceptable language. "Where did you learn such talk?!," they may fume. Well, chances are that they learned it from Mom and Dad, or the shows and movies that they watch...
I think some kids think they can impress their friends that they are tough and can swear like the big boys..kind of like what some of us did with the latest slang ..lol I remember working to use the 'latest' hip words asap

Curse words foolishly make some kids feel like adults...

I don't have a problem with people swearing in movies because that's how people talk in some circles. I used to talk that way when I was young. What I don't like is all the smoking in movies set in present day. I can't stand the smell of cigarettes and I can almost smell the smoke from the characters in the movies. And not that many people smoke any more, or at least I don't see it where I go. It's usually just a lone smoker. That's how I'd like to see it depicted in movies — like real life.

I swear. It’s not due to ignorance, or a substitute for a word I don’t know, because I have a good command of the English language and an extensive vocabulary.

Maybe that’s why I don’t really notice or pay attention to swearing in movies. All I care about is whether or not the plot’s engaging and the movie well acted.

they're not ignorant. people just pick up bad habits sometimes. doesn't make them stupid.
Oops, not stupid, I meant people who are ignorant of knowing a non-foul word that would express their intent--in place of using a foul one.

You know how it goes--first foul word you hear shocks you, but you hear it so often you get used to it, and it becomes no big deal. Then a new one comes along. "Yikes," you think, but I hear that a lot too. No reason to get upset." And as time goes by, more and more foul words are used, each given a pass and before you know it you've become deaf to just about any foul swear word you hear, and even though they are dished out right and left you feel no outrage at their usage..

You want to hear swearing? I just watched the 3rd movie in a row with no definitive ending. Makes me want to throw a brick at the TV too.
Grrr, for sure. @ $&^&$%$! I help keep myself calm by reminding myself I'm probably gonna soon forget about whatever it was I watched anyway. Lol.

Bottom line, it's all about the money like it has been since the invention of film. Movie makers, owners, producers live for one thing and one thing only profit. No profit, no employment. Artists have always been in conflict with the money grubbers as to what is included in films and how it is done. Envision a script writer submitting a script only to have kicked back with the only comment on it ,"More F bombs then resubmit."

..."More F bombs then resubmit.".... Those 'more' F bombs should be for the script commentators.

Schitts Creek is on tonight. I guess the name attacks viewers. The Comedy Channel now has adds for it line up with the F word omitting only the letter "U". The Fockers was a good series of movies but is that the best the "creators" could come up with for a title? This is like little children learning dirty words then changing a letter so mommy & daddy don't punish them.
