Since we have a ‘smell’ of happiness thread , I figured it only fitting that we’d have a ....
’sound’ of happiness thread.

What is the ‘sound’ of happiness to you?

For me at this time of year it would have to waking up listening to the first songs from the birds. I can’t imagine life without hearing the birds.

I am not particularly a cat lover, but I think a cat purring is definitely one of the sounds of happiness. (Hopefully, Keesha's birds are not part of this scenario?) ;)

The music made when everything comes together in a band I'm playing with.

The sound of a stream moving down a rocky creek, when I'm camped nearby.

The memories of voices I'll never hear again, in this life.

The sound of silence as soon as I turn off the tv, radio, car, or annoying loud music

I guess turning off the car is the complete opposite of Falcon's post
:D

Wow, there are so many sounds for me that I can't choose just one. I love the sounds of my birdies "purring." They make these little baby birdy noises that are so sweet. I also like the loud calls they make and I love the sounds of the trains going through town early in the morning along with the sounds of the ships passing on the great lake I am right beside. Also, love the sounds of music! :)

What is the ‘sound’ of happiness to you?

The giggle of a small child being chased

The sound of Dad’s car…coming home

Coffee….perking on the campfire

Wind….murmuring thru the pines

The mocking caw of an incredulous crow

The magic of a master and their music

The extended laughter of your audience

The eerie wail of coyotes, serenading the moon, as only they can

The gentle sighs of mutual culmination

I won’t pollute this thread with other stuff running thru my mind
But those were summa my immediate favs

Pleasant mellow music. When a performer looks like he is in agony and he is about to swallow the microphone, it is time to change the channel.
