I have two family members who are taking GLP-1's. One says they will take it forever. The other took it for a few weeks but suffered miserable side effects and has discontinued use (I think). Both say it helped because they lost their interest in food and don't eat as much. Personally, I don't trust that it is safe. Like the covid vax debacle.
I have fought weight all of my life. It is a lifestyle change. No candy, sodas, ice cream, cake, donuts, alcohol. NONE! For 17 years. Well, except for a bottle of bubbly as a celebration a couple of weeks ago. And about once a year a small portion of ice cream and maybe pizza. No potatoes or deep fried, breaded anything. Lean meats broiled, boiled or baked, mostly de-skinned chicken and fish, rarely beef, never pork (easy, since I don't like it). Rice or pasta maybe once every two months. In the past 2.5 years, I have eaten out twice.
When I read on here about the foods so many are having, I admit to being jealous. I am 5'3", 128 lbs, 74 years old
