The Taliban have attacked a hotel in Kabul, and my daughter might be there ! !

I just read the news article that the taliban have attacked the Park Palace Guest House in Kabul, and they are saying that at least one American is dead. There are reports of a lot of shooting, explosions, and at least four ambulances. Another report states that one american woman is injured.
Some of the people were taken hostage, and the reports vary on whether all of the hostages were recovered or not.
Apparently, the situation has ended; but the details of exactly what went on are murky, at best.
My (only) daughter, which some of you will remember me writing about before, has been in Kabul since March, and she tells me that she is staying in a safe place; but in that country---- who knows ? ?

There was supposed to be some sort of a concert at the hotel; so even if that is not where she is staying, it is possible that she might have gone to watch the concert.
Of course, I have messaged her to see if she is okay; but it is about 3AM in Kabul right now; so even if she is safe, she is asleep.
I think there are still a few praying people on this forum; and I am asking for your prayers for my daughter's safety at this time, please.

Prayers for your daughter's safety, and your peace of mind. My nephew, whom I raised as a son,is currently working somewhere in the Middle East with Doctors Without Borders. I feel your pain and worry.

I'm not one of those praying people Happyflowerlady, but your daughter will be in my thoughts, and I hope she's safe and wish her well.

Prayers delivered.

Have you heard anything since posting? Is there a government agency that you can call?
Warri, I have no idea how I would get ahold of anyone there to find out if she is okay. I did message a lady that works at the same company that Robin works for that lives here in Huntsville. Robin works for a contractor that works with the government, and they sent her to Kabul in early March, supposed to be only for a few weeks.
She is now scheduled to be there at least through July. Since the time is so far off from ours, we communicate by IM's as we are awake. It is almost 5 there now; so hopefully, she will be waking up, and send me a message that she is fine, and laughing at me for being a worry-wort.
I am checking the online news, looking for any updates on the attack.

Thank you for the prayers and good-wishes, too ! !

She messaged me, and she is safe and doing fine. Teased me for worrying. (she likes to tease me, I think)
Thank you everyone for caring and for the prayers as well. I thought that when she got out of the Army; I would not have to worry anymore about her being sent overseas to these dangerous places; but it did not turn out that way.
