The U.S. has bombed 3 Iran Nuke sites

I can never figure out the reasoning.
We grant the power to congress to declare war, but to my understanding, it hasn't done so since the 1940's.
Nevertheless, we have been involved in numerous wars and conflicts, including Vietnam and Iraq.
Then Russia invades Poland, and we don't get militarily involved, or even when they invade Ukraine.
However, we get directly involved with the Israel and Iran conflict.
I simply cannot connect the dots.
I get that the president has the authority to take immediate action against threats to this country, but we have been threatened numerous times by Russia, North Korea, and China, but no action is taken.
Whatever the case, I expect the price of oil will go up.
The spot price for 24 Karat gold will sky rocket on the world market, tomorrow, when the markets open. On Friday past, one ounce of 24 Karat gold was priced at about $3500. USD. Watch what happens tomorrow. JIM.

Maybe I'm being dense, but I can't understand how or why this country got involved in this at all.
1. No one else had the bunker-busting capability.
2. Iran was at 60% enriched uranium power.... 90% is weapons grade.
3. If Iran could/would have developed that nuke with 90%, I'd be kinda terrified to be living in Maryland after looking at the probable strike locations. 🤷‍♀️

Iraq was more than willing to use their chemical weapons on their own people. Just another thought on the WMD question. Did anyone ever think that it was possible those WMDs could have been either well hidden or moved out to other area country that had Iraq's ideology?

Iran didn't keep it a secret they wanted a nuke & was willing to do anything to get one. They were working on enriching uranium well past the point needed for energy. After they had the first one, the amount of nukes would have grown quickly.

I'm amazed of how many people are willing to let things go until it's past the point of no return. Rogue nations lie to the world & don't hide how terrible they treat their own people. Their end goal is to do this to their neighbors & everyone else until all live under their ideology. There is no live & let live with them.

Iran was offered a very good deal just a few weeks ago and turned it down. Instead, they asked Israel for a ceasefire. That made very little sense. Israel wanted Iran to completely get out of the nuclear business, but they weren’t interested in doing that. Israel thought that by agreeing to a ceasefire, it would give Iran an opportunity to align their troops and air force for a better attack.

I wasn’t exactly happy that the U.S. bombed these nuke sites, but then again, I am not a strategic war strategist.

The sad fact is is that we were the only ones that could have done it because we did develop the technology the problem is that nothing Isreal has can carry such a massive payload.

So I guess we had no choice but to step in. I'm all for peace in the region but considering the old saying is "I'm not afraid of the person with 10 nuclear bombs I'm afraid of the person with one" we just don't need more people with massive destructive capabilities right now.
Yeah, only the US has Bunker Busters; bombs that can penetrate the ground deep enough to destroy Iran's underground nuclear storage facilities.
Why? The attacks were not from Europe and Iran has no nuclear bomb now.
International investigators say otherwise...they said Iran is a hair's breath away from nuclear armament.
Iran was given several chances to negotiate to end this fight & they've refused each time. The latest refusal was yesterday.

They have been allowed to get away with too much over the years, & IMO, they thought they could continue to do as they want.

Since 1979 they have called for the Death of America & to Israel. Their nuclear capabilities needed to be taken away before they launched a nuclear warhead into Israel & anyone else they don't like.
Anyone else see the irony in this tweet?
The Iran Nuclear Deal was signed on July 14, 2015 by Iran and the P5+1 - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council; US, UK, Russia, France, China, and the EU plus Germany - to ensure Iran’s nuclear program remained exclusively peaceful by imposing strict limitations and monitoring. Since then, Iran has been imposing extreme limitations on the monitoring while they developed their nuclear capabilities.

The Iranian gov't violated the agreement they agreed to, and they've been lying to everyone for a decade. That's been proven, and that's why this is happening. And they were warned multiple times over the years. In fact, a day before the US deployed the Bunker-Busters, the US president told Iranian citizens to get out of Tehran. And a lot of them did.

Iran is prohibited from developing and owning nuclear weapons for the same reason a felon is prohibited from owning a gun.

I listened to an interview with three so-called experts that was recorded on Friday. None of them thought an attack by the US on the Iranian nuclear bomb sites was coming anytime soon.

I listed to the “experts” on the news shows for a while this Sunday morning. They are all pontificating on this and that about this unfortunate war. After 20 minutes I realized that it is all fluff to fill air time. None of them has a clue about what is going on at this moment. And they certainly don’t have a good idea of what will happen next. They are blowing hot air to sound like they know what is happening.

None of these people know anything more
than you, me or the man behind the door.

We don't know if the strike on Iran's nuclear sites was successful. We do know hospitals & residential neighbor hoods were not the target. I see a difference between the two.

I'm not going to speculate what would have happened if Iran completed building the nuclear capability they agreed NOT TO HAVE.

There is zero evidence that Iran had/has a nuclear bomb. Israel's leader has been claiming Iran was three to five years from developing the bomb since the early 1990's. It's propaganda.

Still, if you look at the countries that do have nuclear weapons, it's hardly a list filled with the most stable, trusted, governments:
  1. Russia
  2. United States
  3. China
  4. France
  5. United Kingdom
  6. India
  7. Pakistan
  8. Israel
  9. North Korea
Iran has been problematic to the West for some time, and that's what diplomacy is supposed to be about. But this.....
The ex Russian presidents says one of them would have no problem giving Iran a nuclear bomb.

Putin ally says countries now ready to supply Iran with nuclear weapons

Any one who has a nuke has to understand it's mutually assured destruction or MAD if they use one. Using one isn't like driving a truck with 20,000 pounds of explosives into a target. The collateral damage would be too much for the user to get any benefit. For starters they would be condemned for ever making gains from it's use all but impossible.

Looks like it was, judging by this video. (also, @VaughanJB, there absolutely was evidence.)

I hope you are right. I don’t own many gold shares, but my wife has been buying gold since 2009. I think back then she was paying less than a $1000 per ounce. She buys certificates, not bullion.

So here’s the thing. Iran may well strike back. But this president ain‘t messing around. So if they strike at the US, I have no doubt there will be hell to pay. In short, and terrible, order. How do you negotiate with a religious fanatic whose motto has been, for years and years, Death to America? You think Iran has the wherewithal to put up much of a fight? Any comparison to Pearl Harbor is silly.
