This is Iran's Pearl Harbor and will only strengthen its resolve to fight back much like the U.S. did in WW2.
I'm hearing zero casualties. Now that's how ya do it!I can't find the amount of casualties. If they are bombing sites then I would assume it's low.
Targeted strikes on nuclear sites seems better than bombing hospitals.
The spot price for 24 Karat gold will sky rocket on the world market, tomorrow, when the markets open. On Friday past, one ounce of 24 Karat gold was priced at about $3500. USD. Watch what happens tomorrow. JIM.I can never figure out the reasoning.
We grant the power to congress to declare war, but to my understanding, it hasn't done so since the 1940's.
Nevertheless, we have been involved in numerous wars and conflicts, including Vietnam and Iraq.
Then Russia invades Poland, and we don't get militarily involved, or even when they invade Ukraine.
However, we get directly involved with the Israel and Iran conflict.
I simply cannot connect the dots.
I get that the president has the authority to take immediate action against threats to this country, but we have been threatened numerous times by Russia, North Korea, and China, but no action is taken.
Whatever the case, I expect the price of oil will go up.
1. No one else had the bunker-busting capability.Maybe I'm being dense, but I can't understand how or why this country got involved in this at all.
Yeah, only the US has Bunker Busters; bombs that can penetrate the ground deep enough to destroy Iran's underground nuclear storage facilities. The sad fact is is that we were the only ones that could have done it because we did develop the technology the problem is that nothing Isreal has can carry such a massive payload.
So I guess we had no choice but to step in. I'm all for peace in the region but considering the old saying is "I'm not afraid of the person with 10 nuclear bombs I'm afraid of the person with one" we just don't need more people with massive destructive capabilities right now.
International investigators say otherwise...they said Iran is a hair's breath away from nuclear armament. Why? The attacks were not from Europe and Iran has no nuclear bomb now.
Iran was given several chances to negotiate to end this fight & they've refused each time. The latest refusal was yesterday.
They have been allowed to get away with too much over the years, & IMO, they thought they could continue to do as they want.
Since 1979 they have called for the Death of America & to Israel. Their nuclear capabilities needed to be taken away before they launched a nuclear warhead into Israel & anyone else they don't like.
The Iran Nuclear Deal was signed on July 14, 2015 by Iran and the P5+1 - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council; US, UK, Russia, France, China, and the EU plus Germany - to ensure Iran’s nuclear program remained exclusively peaceful by imposing strict limitations and monitoring. Since then, Iran has been imposing extreme limitations on the monitoring while they developed their nuclear capabilities.Anyone else see the irony in this tweet?
Or, you could look at it as Iran's Hiroshima without the nukes or casualties. Maybe we bombed the peace out of them and they become a prosperous nation. This is Iran's Pearl Harbor and will only strengthen its resolve to fight back much like the U.S. did in WW2.
And so it was. I am very upset over this. Here comes another sleepless night.![]()
The ex Russian presidents says one of them would have no problem giving Iran a nuclear bomb. There is zero evidence that Iran had/has a nuclear bomb. Israel's leader has been claiming Iran was three to five years from developing the bomb since the early 1990's. It's propaganda.
Still, if you look at the countries that do have nuclear weapons, it's hardly a list filled with the most stable, trusted, governments:
Iran has been problematic to the West for some time, and that's what diplomacy is supposed to be about. But this.....
- Russia
- United States
- China
- France
- United Kingdom
- India
- Pakistan
- Israel
- North Korea
Looks like it was, judging by this video. (also, @VaughanJB, there absolutely was evidence.)We don't know if the strike on Iran's nuclear sites was successful. We do know hospitals & residential neighbor hoods were not the target. I see a difference between the two.
I'm not going to speculate what would have happened if Iran completed building the nuclear capability they agreed NOT TO HAVE.
Find a better comp for this-----------the bombing last night on bomb sites (term used loosely) is NOTHING compared to Pearl Harbor in ww11....people died in Pearl and lives were changed. This is Iran's Pearl Harbor and will only strengthen its resolve to fight back much like the U.S. did in WW2.
I hope you are right. I don’t own many gold shares, but my wife has been buying gold since 2009. I think back then she was paying less than a $1000 per ounce. She buys certificates, not bullion. The spot price for 24 Karat gold will sky rocket on the world market, tomorrow, when the markets open.
