I watched the whole video, and i really like Dr. Berg. What he is mainly talking about is not that an avocado is bad, but that once it is processed, then it can be unhealthy. He explains at the end that an avocado is a healthy source of good oil, you just have to get good avocados to start with.
He explains that it is ripened with a gas, which is why it can look and feel perfect, but is almost rotten inside. I buy my avocados green and then let them sit on the kitchen counter until they are ripe. If I buy more than one, I put them in the refrigerator and take out one at a time to ripen it and eat it when it is ripe.
He is very correct about the avocado oil having other oils mixed in, and I have also read that this is sometimes true about olive oil as well. Unless you are getting pure extra virgin olive oil, it can have other oils added in. It should show on the labels, but he said that sometimes it does not show on the avocado oil.
As far as the guacamole from fast food places, I don’t think I have ever had any, and don’t remember it if I have, but I am not surprised if it had green peas and other stuff in it that does not belong in guacamole.
