The "Wow!" emoji

I think the forehead slap could be particularly useful. I know there are a few posts of mine I'd stick that on.
I've had that forehead slap many times and it always means they are hitting themselves in frustration over my failure to "get it."
I've had the eye-roll directed at me, even more times, to express how dumb they think I am.
I've had the vomit one to show how they feel about me in a non-specific general way.

In other words, I've been on the political boards and lived to tell about it!

From now on I'm going to take the positive path:
The wow emoji will mean someone is gob-smacked over the sheer brilliance of my post.
The thumb says they wholeheartedly approve of it.
The heart says they absolutely love what I said.
The hug says they love me personally and want to squeeze my fat furry body.
The laugh says they think I'm funnier than the whole crew of the Carol Burnett show rolled into one.
The sad face means they're sad they aren't me.
The red face means they're angry at themselves for not saying what I said first.

Brilliant @Della .(y)

As others have said, I consider the reaction WOW as awesome or surprise I never heard of that. Maybe it should be called Awesome instead of Wow. But it probably takes up too much room in the naming of the emoji's. :)
But, I am happy to have the reaction emoji's. It is nice to have some reaction as opposed to invisibility. The emoji's we can put in our posts are a lot more varied than the reaction ones. The one that says unsure, I always thought it was thinking about whatever. I haven't been able to find the head slap one.
I guess reaction emoji's can be interpreted as poorly as some words.

When I use it I mean, 'oh wow, that's unbelievable' or 'that's really something' I don't use it as a negative. I've used the Angry one when someone posts something I really didn't like. And also if the post is something to be angry about such as a link to an article about a murder or something.

There was a horrible post I noticed last week. I didn't respond at all and I'll never respond to that person again.

Yes, this is the one I can't decipher. Are they angry that something happened, or angry at me because I wrote about it?

I only use the blue "thumbs up." If I want to send a hug, laughter, or other reaction, I use words.
I don't use the  or the ๐Ÿคฌ very often but when I do, it's ALWAYS directed to the content of the post; NEVER the poster. It never occurred to me that others might be directing it toward the poster.

This is probably oversharing, but the reason the emojis are important to me is because I am high-functioning autism spectrum, as is my daughter, and getting social cues correct can be difficult. What we see in someone's expression (or emoji) could be different than what the majority of the populace sees, and it causes problems with relationships sometimes. The cartoon faces really help me know and understand what someone might be thinking.
Some times I have no idea what it's meant to express. More often than not, it baffles me what it is supposed to express. I think it should be retired and replaced with a more clear meaning emoji.

Lots of disturbing news is posted here, that's where I use it, I'm "angry" about the news/story.
Exactly what I was saying about using the angry face. It's a comment on the content of a posted story.
Senseless killing of children; cruelty to animals ... those things make me angry and that's when I will react with an angry face emoji.
