I guess he learned that every time he ate it, he got sick. Eventually he just stopped eating it.

Luckily, he became an enthusiastic hunter, to compensate!

Guess who is learning to behave in the house!!!!! He is doing so well! Such a good boy.......as long as someone is watching him!

Everyone is snuggled up and keeping warm, on this cold and windy morning!

Goober enjoyed his first Yule/Solstice bonfire. His favorite part was eating the roasted hotdogs!

Goober must have been a good boy. Santa brought him a new toy, and a can of tuna!!!!

We are not expecting to get above freezing for the next 5 days. Time to give Goob his winter bed!

Until now, we have only had a light dusting of snow this season. I'm not sure what Goober thinks about his first snow, but Dio said that he saw Goober's prints out there, as if he had been running around and playing.

He just finished eating now, and is in his bed, grooming. He has been such a good boy lately, very well behaved in the house (although I still don't trust him!!!). It's funny what a great training tool the winter weather has been!!! LOL

Goober turned 10 months old, and weighs about 10 lbs!!! He's such a big boy, sometimes I forget that he's still a kitten!

One of the things we did today was to burn the bulb field. This is the area next to the house that I have thousands of spring bulbs planted. I don't water it or weed it....just let it grow wild. Every winter we burn it off, and in the spring there is a blanket of flowers blooming right by the house!

Goober loves to play in this overgrown field. He catches mice or brings his dead squirrels here, etc.

Well, he carefully watched everything that we did....and I guess he just couldn't figure out where it all went!!! When the fire was out, he sat in the middle of all those ashes, just looking around!

Oooh, don't be sad or feel bad for him. It's all just another new experience for him!

He is hardly suffering....curled up in his bed, in the kitchen!!!!

OH-OH!!!! Guess who was playing with a skunk last night?!!!!

Poor Goober!!! Well, at least it seems like he didn't get hit by the full stream, but his fur has definitely picked up some of the smell.

As you may have guessed, he has been banished from the house, for now!! .

At least it's a good day to be outside! I think I'll finish up early with coffee/tablet, and take him for a walk before I make my breakfast.

I'm a very special little boy. I know that I'm special because Trila and Dio picked ME, to be a part of their family!

They named me after Goober Pyle, who was one of the characters who lived in the TV town of Mayberry.

Mom has told me about Andy, her last kitty. She said that when he left, he tore a hole into her heart. Even though I'm not Andy, and never will be (I'm Goob!!), Mom has promised that if I'm a good boy, and I learn my lessons.....she and Dad will love and spoil me for my whole life!! What more could I ask for?!!!!

I guess I have a lot to learn, since my lessons started before I even got to my new "forever home". My only question is: Will Trila be able train me, or am I going to be training her!!!

Would he allow you to wash him down with tomato juice, in the bath tub? It works. We did it with our dog, when he got sprayed by a skunk.
