Retire! That has made your life easier ??
Thankyou pepperYou've been asking such wonderful questions char!
Easy answer. My son is the best "thing" I've ever done. He's been the greatest joy and love of my life. He's now a fine man, and has given me the best "thing" he's ever done, namely his son, my grandson. My son will see me through to the end of my life, and I am so glad I made the choice to have him!
Believed my wife when she said I would retire early at age 55. We sat down to put a plan in place to make that happen. She was off by a year. The corporation where I worked was like so many in mid 1990's cutting back on management. I got an offer that was better than I could imagine, because of the planning retirement at age 54 was very doable.
Well done for giving upI used to say that quitting smoking (30 years ago) was the best thing I'd ever done. That seems like kind of a pathetic "best" though.
I think I've had a hard life. It still isn't easy, and might never be.
Another well done to you also for giving up boozeThe thing that had the greatest impact on my life was to stop drinking alcohol when I was 22. Looking at the rest of my family and some friends I know alcohol would have destroyed my life. I credit about every positive thing in my life to that decision.
