Toddlers have shot and killed more people in the US than Muslim terrorists 2015 and 2016

The Snopes article points out the variables including what constitutes a terrorist or toddler. Raw numbers with few or no qualifiers yes one could say toddlers shot more the US citizens than terrorists.

The way I read the Snopes article, toddlers killed 2 other people - terrorists killed 19.

Comparing apples with apples.

It's not terrorists...or toddlers...that people here need to watch out for. Instead, it is the drug and street gangs. Hardly a day goes by that our local news doesn't have at least one incident of gun violence in our closest city...Columbia, MO., with a population of only about !50,000. Places like St. Louis, and Chicago have so many inner city murders and shootings, that it doesn't even hardly make the news....unless there are multiple deaths.

I am grateful that Ameriscot keeps us all informed about violence in the U.S....However, she might direct her concerns closer to home. It appears that the U.K. is NOT the crime free paradise that some might believe.

Here's an article I found with a quick search...it is about 5 years old, but perhaps Ameriscot could "enlighten" us on how much things have improved over there in the past 3 or 4 years.......

The article is 7 years old. I will not comment on an article that old. Who said the UK was crime free? Not me. I have said that my village has not had a crime that anyone can ever remember. I did not say it was the same in the entire UK. But we certainly don't have toddlers killing people because adults can't keep their guns where they are out of reach.

I used the bigger number from the Huffington Post of 52 persons killed by toddlers. So 52 divided by 32,000,000 = .00000016% of US population killed by toddlers.

I wonder what the population of toddlers in the US was in 2015, compared to the population of radical terrorists in the US.

What about toddlers who are also terrorists? I've known a few...........

I have too.

Actually the point of the article is that the paranoia about getting killed by Islamic terrorists in the US is small, whereas getting accidentally shot by your own people is much greater. It means stop being afraid of all Muslims and watch out for your neighbour...or your neighbours child.

Here is an article talking about the same issue in Australia - the threat level of tourism, that is because toddlers shooting people don't rate as an actual threat.

At the end pf the article there is a statistical table that is worth looking at. By the number we can see things in perspective.

http://www.crikey.com.au/2014/09/04/the-real-threat-of-terrorism-to-australians-by-the-numbers/

It puts things in perspective. Unfortunately, the large number of Islamaphobes in the various countries insists they are out to get them.
