Told Ya So! Allegations Against Planned Parenthood were False!

All along most of us knew the allegations against Planned Parenthood were bullpuckey. What I especially like about this is that not only did this panel exonerate Planed Parenthood, they charged the filmmakers!!


This from BBC News just now:

A Texas grand jury has cleared Planned Parenthood of misconduct after the abortion provider was accused of selling foetal body parts for profit.

Instead, the panel charged the filmmakers behind the accusations with tampering with government records.


The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) secretly filmed videos that set off an effort to withdraw the Planned Parenthood's federal funding.
CMP founder David Daleiden was also charged with buying human organs.

"We were called upon to investigate allegations of criminal conduct by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast," said Devon Anderson, the prosecutor who is now in charge of the case.

"As I stated at the outset of this investigation, we must go where the evidence leads us."


Planned Parenthood is a non-profit group that provides reproductive health services to mostly lower-income Americans. Some of its locations perform abortions.

And, what about the individual states that have shut off funding for PP due to the videos? Will funds now be released to PP? Or, due to having sworn allegiance to the far right wing of politics, will the governors and legislators in those states continue their crusade against PP?
 
This is good news for the truth, but as GOM has stated, there has been so much damage done, I'm afraid an indictment will not help there.

This is just one more example of the extremes the GOP will go to to get their way.

I perceive that program to be tuned in occasionlly on the Tee-Vee I pass by in the living room. Know only enough about it to wonder WTH the interest in it is. imp

Are you kidding? Of course they will... the sole idea is to deny women the right to choose... and by any means necessary... true or not.
 
This is what worries me today. Truth and facts seem pretty irrelevant to a lot of people these days, at every level of society.
As a former high school teacher, I consider this to be a failure of education.

Warri...truth and facts means nothing to the media very often...sensation sells.
 
For a couple of decades now high school English courses in New South Wales have included some media studies including being able to recognise straight news, news presented in a slanted way, advertorials and the impact of misleading headlines and covers. We now have the internet and people are able to verify/refute contentious stories and I would hope that by now more people would be becoming increasingly savvy about all forms of media.
