Many employees in too many industries, fields, businesses etc do what ever high or drunk but when it involve kids or the public extra attention should be paid as the 'teacher' found out.

Not the right place to drink at..she must have a problem of some kind..lacking common sense for one thing.
 
I had a professor at Florida State that would come in sloshed about 1/3 of the time. He taught mostly night classes and I guess sometimes he'd hit happy hour somewhere before class. We all thought it was funny watching him up there slurring his words. He did OK. But then we weren't really kids.

Hell sometimes you can do some things better when you are drunk. I bowled my second league highest game ever, a 248, when I totally wasted. I was in the zone for that game. But it didn't last. The next game I bowled something like a 127.

Every alcoholic I've known drives - drunk or sober. After all, that's how they get around...just like the rest of us. This teacher may have been arrested at school, but I'll bet she drove there.

I think she definitely needs help to deal with her life and the choices she makes, she's not doing a good job of that.
