TX woman arrested after racist rant

Just another ignorant hate filled slimeball. I'm sorry but I have no kind words for racist scum like that. Why don't the idiots and morons who attack people and shout, "Go back to where you come from!", and "We don't want you here!", try practicing what they preach, and go back to where they come from. Their ancestors came from another country. Native Americans don't want them here.

In the nursing home where I work, there are at least 6 or 7 young women from the Philippines, who work in the nursing department and therapy department. We love working with them. They are more polite and respectful than some Americans. They show more respect for their fellow employees and humans, and more respect for this country than all of those traitors that invaded our capital.

Yes, when my mother was in hospice in assisted living some of the East Indian and Filipino staff were delightful. When she passed away, they all hugged me as I left the facility. My husband of 30+ years is Filipino, so I know how wonderful they are. And yes, they appreciate their citizenship, unlike those entitled moron insurrectionists.
 
Some people are given a face that serves as a warning.
Her face says, "Watch out for me; I'm a moron & a true example of nature's carelessness."

Sounds like you do a pretty good job yourself calling people names. You sound like a bunch of little kids.
I think you all need to grow up.

Next time, just walk away before it turns physical or worse. People haven't learned to just keep walking. It will go away.

Yes just walk away. Who cares if there's bigoted angry people in this world/country who attack innocent people who are doing nothing wrong. I don't care. They are not talking to me. So what do I care if they force their hatred on innocent people from another country? That will show the world what we think of those darn fool people who speak a foreign language and dare walk down our streets.
 
Yesterday, as I was leaving the supermarket, I heard loud shouting in the parking lot. One man, clearly unhinged, had left his truck in one of the driving lanes. A store employee was yelling at him, trying to get him to move his vehicle, and the driver just kept getting louder and angrier, using language that couldn't even be printed here.

All the people in the lot at that time were just standing, watching and listening in astonishment. That was my instinct too, but it occurred to me that especially in this day and age, the driver could have a gun. Maybe the best idea was to get out of there in a hurry, never mind how interesting this battle was. So I hurried to my car and just left.

Physical assault has always been a crime and for that she should be arrested and punished.

I've never liked the hate crime laws. Hate is an emotion and I don't think that's something law enforcement should be asked to control.
 
Unfortunately, the Plano ranter/attacker is not alone. She accurately expressed the feelings of many native-born Americans. For those, almost any ethnic group can be classified as "them", and hated. I believe that sentiment is more widespread than we understand. And there is also a degree of hate we underestimate. There is no nation on earth that isn't plagued with this undercurrent of hate.

Yep, it seems to be a part of human nature to be uncomfortable with those who are different. Something all of us have to overcome to one degree or another.

There were times when the Irish, Italians, Germans and other white Europeans were the focus of this kind of thing...

Not a legitimate excuse, just an explanation.

So, I have trouble understanding this type of hate. What do you think is at the bottom of it? Is it fear? Ignorance?

Well aside from what used to be called Red Indians ( Native Americans).. I didn't think there was any such thing as a native American.. after all.. all we hear is them proclaiming that they're Irish American.. German American.. African American... and in this woman's case Mexican American... The irony isn't lost..

There is a difference between what @Paladin1950 is saying and hate speech. I see his words as more an emphatic way of expressing an opinion and not a direct attach on a person within earshot. I'd bet he would know better than to do that.

Even the Native Americans came here from Asia, much more recently than you ancestors likely got to the British isles.

We need to do our best to put all that aside, should not matter where we or our ancestors came from. What matters is how we act and treat people today!

Educated East Indian women not likely to counter violence with violence unless the woman struck a child. If present i likely would have put her in a restraint hold to await police. And yeah, i think i'm still capable of that if my adrenaline gets up.
