Washington (CNN)The Pentagon has officially released three short videos showing "unidentified aerial phenomena"

The videos show what appear to be unidentified flying objects rapidly moving while recorded by infrared cameras. Two of the videos contain service members reacting in awe at how quickly the objects are moving. One voice speculates that it could be a drone.
The Navy previously acknowledged the veracity of the videos in September of last year. They are officially releasing them now, "in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos," according to Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough.
"After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems," said Gough in a statement, "and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena."

Story and videos here.

So now........instead of calling them U-FO's....we should call them U-AP's.......?.........LOL

My b/f and I, and many others at the beach in Stanley Park in summer '67, witnessed "something" in the evening sky that hovered and maneuvered itself the way an airplane couldn't - it stayed that way for several minutes .. then, it shot straight up until it could no longer be seen.

UFO?

Yes, I saw those. As a pilot who flew for over 33 years, I can tell anyone that will listen that I have seen many images that either made no sense as to what it was that I was seeing or could not be identified. I can also tell you that, 'yes,' there are UFO's, but not all UFO's are flying saucers or spaceships that have little green men onboard.

An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is just that. It's something that no one can identify. There have been many explanations from some pretty smart people on this matter, including some people that are seated in think tanks. Some objects that were ID'd as a UFO were later recognized to be an odd shape cloud, weird looking drone that someone made up to look like a flying saucer or other extraterrestrial thing. Even pollutants can cause weird shapes to form very high above and the cold air can change the shapes as it moves around.

There are explanations for these UFO's, but people will believe whatever they want to. It's fun to imagine that there may be life beyond our planet, don't you think?

How can one look out at the vast enormity and precise intelligence of creation and assume we are the height of everything? I believe in worlds and worlds and worlds, seen and unseen. The expansion of universes upon universes is never ending. There are powers, intelligence, wonders and forces beyond out wildest imagination that we can't even fanthom.
Yes, many so-called "sightings' can be explained by cold air movements and other phenomena, but that doesn't diminish my intense belief in beings outside our own little sphere.

In addition, if space is infinite, then how can we possibly believe ourselves to be the sole intelligent entities?

Well said ,but it's my belief we, as a world level of consciousness, are probably the LOWEST intelligence of all creation.
It is interesting stuff to contemplate.

To my way of thought, the journey beyond the egocentricity that causes so many Earthly strifes eventually takes you to the place where you realize that you truly do not matter in the universe and to the universe. Once you've achieved that degree of honest enlightenment, why wouldn't an advanced being "just stop" existing? What reason would they have for continued "doing" and "being"? They can't be all that advanced if they also have a strong sense of denial.

And if they are driven by a survival instinct, then their motives are likely to be as base as ours.

Sticks, Wow! Incredible analysis! I'd say we all keep growing through all lives and all spectrums until we reach God. Oh yes, You matter. We are all, individually and as a whole, part of an enormous synergitic plan, beyond our comprehension. There was never a time when we did not exist and there shall never be a time when we shall cease to exist. The Universe is in continual expansion and we are all part of it. Once the glories of the heavens are glimpsed, there is no turning back. The desire to experience it would be way too intense!

The incident in Britian, where three airman walked up
on a UFO...documented:
Something is out there-what?

The secrecy of the govt. only compounds the issue.
Most thinking people are aware of the complex universe we live in; seeing a little green men is not going to throw me into a
wild panic.

It's interesting that we respect each individual as having that inherent value while concurrently having a cynical (fatalistic?) opinion of the aggregate.

So you are of an Eastern philosophical leaning?

That's difficult to say. i get all my information from Holy Angels. (I know you're laughing) But I wrote and had published three books, "Angels explain Death and prayer" and "Angels explain God and the New Spirituality." are two of them. Available on Amazon, Apple ITunes, Google Play and Barnes and Noble. spiritual ,not religious, I'd say.

I saw the lead-ins for those articles but did not read them.

Do you know how long ago those videos were taken? In other words, are these recent phenomena or are all involved parties now deceased?
Saw this on internet news yesterday. According to the article, the videos were taken in 2004.
The earliest in 2004. The latest 2015

I never scoff at the idea of other intelligent life forms in the vastness of outer space. However, I have to scratch my head when I try to figure why any being would travel billions of light years to come to earth and anal probe some poor soul in Nebraska. 🤪

Well good for you! No, I'm not laughing. I'll go check them out.

I mostly asked "Eastern" because you said "all lives." Like many, I've done my share of spiritual exploration, especially after I quit drinking 30 years ago.

I don't want to hijack this thread about it, but it's interesting how the two overlap to a degree.
