A loaded question. Maybe it should be how many think critically? How many want to think at all? Thinking can be very disruptiveWhat percentage of people are stupid?

What could possibly go wrong?"It will be a cakewalk"
"We will be greeted as liberators"
All of them, just at different times. What percentage of people are stupid?
and dismissive. It is an honest answer.
Kuwait 'accidentally' shoots down three US fighter jetsWhat could possibly go wrong?
Not trying to be dismissive. Where you not saying that a lot about what is going to happen we do not know. So time will tell.and dismissive.
That's what my son thinks and he watches far more news than I do and told me some intersting history about the Ayatollahs. One wonders if it isn't simply a diversionary tactack
Who's next? [Don't answer: we're done here.]Not trying to be dismissive. Where you not saying that a lot about what is going to happen we do not know. So time will tell.
The plans of mice and men.....
1. Take out Iran's nuclear facilities.
2. Take out the Iranian government.
3. Take out their military.
4. Have an influence on the floe oil.
5. Liberate the people and put them in power.
Oil flow and oil prices my fluctuate a little for us for a short time, but very little of our oil was coming from Iran to begin with and we are getting a lot of oil coming in from Venezuela.
Who's next? [Don't answer: we're done here.]
Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, Mexico [?] . . . and the list goes on. ["Time will tell."]Cuba
My first thought was they just got lucky. When Bush went after Saddam, just prior to the invasion, when Saddam had reason to believe he had a few days left before he had to disappear, we bombed several locations where Saddam was likely to be based on intelligence reports, but they didn't find him until something like 5 or 6 years later. It's strange that this supreme leader can be killed so easily. One would think his residential compound has some sophisticated bunkers or emergency escape routes. Or he simply does not reside in the usual home during dangerous time.
That's a variable, you know the drill. What percentage of people are stupid?
that is one of life's truest truisms.....That's a variable, you know the drill.
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
He might of planned to stay at his compound and die. That has a very powerful message giving your life willingly for your people. My first thought was they just got lucky. My first reaction to hearing of the Ayatollah's death was surprise. Maybe he didn't think he would be targeted. Maybe he wasn't as good at hiding like Saddam. Maybe he thought his god would protect him. I doubt it's that easy to kill one of those guys from the air when they know they're target #1.
Well someone has to do it.Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, Mexico [?] . . . and the list goes on. ["Time will tell."]

Then make sure to add Russia and China to the partial list I posted.Well someone has to do it.
Here's my question. If their nuclear capabilities were supposedly crippled months ago (as was bragged about), why would they need to attack Iran again? They didn't get it right the first time? Or they lied about it? Regime change my a*s! @RambleTamble You're right about this: "You can't fool all the people all the time." Oh and the probability of "collateral damage" (even including our soldiers) was spoken about so casually that it burns me up.
True, I have no idea how much time it would take to replenish their nuclear weapons arsenal. I saw a couple of analysts, one from Iran that said it's unlikely much will change regime wise. Where I live, we're close enough to New York City that if that gets nuked, we're likely toast as well or at least will suffer from the fallout (I've checked a fallout map). These are crazy, uncertain, concerning times!Well it is hard to know. They just started back up again and who knows how long it would take them to develop a nuclear weapon, they have been working on it for over ten years. The problem is they are doomday-ists. They were hoping that other countries would fight against America and Isreal to start a world war but that backfired on them.
So now they are firing on everyone. It is all about escalating everything. I am thinking America will soon give them a taste of the MOAB's......25,000 lbs bombs. That will rattle their cage.
They are running hundreds of sorties to mop up the missiles and drones. This should be over in a few days.
Then the hard part is getting a new government in place. That will take some time. If they can do that without boots on the ground that will be the trick.
Stay tuned for the next distraction of the week.Who's next? [Don't answer: we're done here.]

With regard to your last paragraph above. Neville Chamberlain knew that Hitler had a much better prepared war machine than the UK did. He went to Germany in an effort to stall Hitler's sabre rattling and give the UK a chance to build up its military. It also gave the British government time to rally the Empire as well to the fight against Hitler. Without the sacrifice of his career the Germans would have attacked Westward much earlier than they did, and I'd probably be writing this in German.Yes and no. The issue was ability to build a nuclear "bomb", in the near term. Further issue would be "dirty" bombs, with material that was stored elsewhere.
It has been speculated the 2020 attack on the U.S. base in Iraq, may have been low yield radiological material, although not fully acknowledged.
In 1987, Hashemi Rafsanjani, then-president of Iran, suggestively stated the following:
Neville Chamberlain declared peace in our time and was wildly popular in Britain, until 9-1939. Should we have waited until Iran had ballistic missiles equipped with nuclear weapons?
I doubt if he planned to give his life for his people, seeing as he'd just ordered the murder of around 40,000 of them for protesting against him during the last month or so.He might of planned to stay at his compound and die. That has a very powerful message giving your life willingly for your people.
